WHO: Daryl and OPEN
WHAT: Late supper
WHEN: Tonight/Early Wednesday morning after his shift at the Roadhouse
WHERE: Some random 24-hour diner
RATING: Usual language, TBD otherwise
STATUS: Complete

Not only had the Winchester clan been slashed virtually in half the past week or so, but this whole truth telling bug that was biting everyone in the ass for a while now was starting to get on his nerves -- truly! So much in fact that he had resorted to writing stuff down longhand, things he he could usually keep bottled up inside but recently been having trouble with it, better than airing his dirty laundry and tossing out shit that wasn't anyone's business but his own.

Didn't stop him from the verbal diarrhea..

After explaining his fear of needles and his inability to swim to the waitress, Daryl ordered a simple burger and fries and was halfway through with his meal by the time he heard the bell above the diner door jingle, signaling another patron walking into the almost empty diner.

It had been one of those super long days. People were still running at the mouth, so she'd been trying to avoid them all for the most part. You didn't talk a lot when you were by yourself. She'd gone out to the desert to get Loki and bring him back, which had wasted some time. Then she'd gone to work, which kept her away from most people that she knew. It was just a bunch of locals that she had to throw out.

Though without Crowley there, she didn't know if she had a job anymore. Faith supposed that she would have to go find a new one eventually. Now it was late, and most people were asleep so she decided to go to the Roadhouse to get food before heading home.

Sure enough, there wasn't a lot of people around, so she went up to the counter and sat a couple of seats away from Daryl. She gave a nod in his direction and sat down. She had only talked to him a handful of times. "Hey. Didn't think you'd be up this late."

Daryl had the sudden urge to spew out his personal view on clowns, but luckily kept his mouth shut with a large bite of cheeseburger, chewing soundly as he looked over at Faith, nodding slightly in reply. After that particular wave passed, Daryl snorted, squirting a glob of ketchup onto the wax paper in his plastic burger basket. "Shift just ended.."

From what he had gathered of Faith, she didn't have 'hoity toity uppity bitch' written all over her and seemed down to earth. Her question about jobs sent out into the great void had been valid, and she hadn't backed down at his usual shit.

She seemed to be okay as far as the residents of this place went.

Keeping your mouth shut with food and drink seemed to be a good waste of time, so she ordered a plate of fries and chicken fingers and a very large beer. That would keep her occupied for a while at least. "Yep, me too. Though I might get fired tomorrow since my boss just disappeared." It looked like she might have said something else, but drank her beer instead.

Nah, there was no hoity-toity with her. She hadn't talked to Daryl much, but they both seemed like the quiet, annoyed types. She liked quiet annoyed types in general. Better than sitting next to someone who was going to ramble.

"Thank fuck. Food," she mumbled when it arrived in front of her. "I guess most of the time we just miss each other, cause I'm in here all the time." This fucking truth thing.

"Ain't no reason to fire you," Daryl replied, taking a long pull off his own beer and wiping his mouth with the side of his hand. "People disappear from this place all the time, place'll probably work itself out again anyhow." While he had heard of a lot of people up and leaving, he had yet to hear of jobs or the like being suspended because of missing bosses.

"Roadhouse's decent enough," he began and stopped.. Damn truth telling getting him all vocal about shit that he would've usually just ignored..

"Yeah, guess you're right. I guess that's the weird thing about having an actual job. Worrying about getting fired from it when your boss disappears from your psycho reality." She shook her head and picked up a chicken tender and took a bite. It could have been worse, she guessed.

She gave a small nod, but then went back to eating. Nothing to say to that, she guessed. And no overwhelming urge to say shit when she was stuffing her face. Stuffing her face, she most certainly was.

Seemed he had the urge to say shit even while stuffing his face.. Definitely wasn't one for manners in the slightest and it was merely coincidental that he even used a fork or napkin in many instances.

"Where're you working, anyhow?" Town was full of places, but it was always interesting to hear what other people were doing to make ends meet in this place.

Manners were totally overrated. Faith was the very last person in the world to talk to anyone about eating with their mouth food. She was eating like it was going out of style.

"At Eden," she said sort of in between bites. "Kicking people's asses out when they cause shit. Like a bouncer but not for horny guys when they're too loud and obnoxious. Well sometimes. More like people who try to steal." Gotta chase down those fuckers.

"Can't really do anything else. Don't know what I'd do that's not busting heads."

He nodded slightly.. Seemed like something she'd do, and after all if it was one thing Asaph did, it was provide a decent enough job for every Tom Dick and Harry in this place.

"Sounds like shit at the Roadhouse," he replied earnestly. "'Course we got grabbers, boozers, idiots and just plain assholes.. Helps to put all my anger at bein' here into kickin' them to the curb, y'know?"

That, and Jo didn't make him wear sleeves.

It was awfully 'nice' of him to give people a job. Though he wasn't really the one giving it. It had been Crowley. Still it was good that she got to hurt people for a living. Slaying didn't exactly pay.

"Yeah sometimes we've got grabbers. Boozers we get a lot of. Especially if there's free drinks in the casino." She grinned slightly. "Pretty much. I like fighting. I like hurting people. I always will. Better than sitting around."

Polishing off the remainder of his cheeseburger in one foul swoop, Daryl chewed while she went on about the casino, a place he hadn't been to so far and probably would never go.. No sense throwing your money away on luck, he didn't seem to have much of any luck to begin with.

"Little thing like you?" He smirked then, a half a twitch of his mouth. "Don't believe it for a second."

She was still working through her chicken and fries. Faith had never actually gambled there, she didn't see the point in throwing away her money either. People just stood in front of those machines like zombies. It was really sad. She certainly didn't have any luck.

Faith laughed, "Little thing like me, yeah. I know, I don't look like much. That's why they always underestimate me. I'm a Slayer. Kicking ass just comes with the territory."

Polishing off the remainder of his drink, Daryl scooted to the side, digging in a pocket and took out two crumpled bills, laying them down on the counter in front of him. "Just the whole truth thing talkin', but it's been nice shootin' the shit a little." He gave her a small nod.

"Don't often get no company.. People think I'm difficult or somethin' just cause I don't take it up the skirt from Asaph."

Faith watched him with some regard and then nodded. "Yeah. It has." She gave a small chuckle. "I feel you. I don't get company either. People tend to think I'm a pain in the ass so they stay away. Don't have friends. It's nice not to be judged."

Really this whole thing had to stop.

"See ya 'round."

"You ain't too much of a pain in the ass.." Daryl admitted, though he didn't need Asaph's truth serum to help him out with that.

Nodding at her, he stood up from the barstool and headed out, the diner door jingling as he opened and shut it.
