What: Alone time.
Where: Their apartment.
When: Late evening, sometime after they've gotten home from having dinner at Dean and Claire's, and put Caden to bed.

Ruby finished reading The Lorax for the third time when she looked over to see that Caden was fast asleep in his bed. She stood up, kissing her son on the forehead, before turning off the lamp next to his bed and leaving the room. It had taken awhile to convince to Caden to sleep in his room tonight, but her and Sam had managed to convince him to do it. Normally, they wouldn't object to it, but they both wanted to talk and spend sometime alone with just each other.

Ruby had been keeping a very close eye on Sam since Lucifer left the building and he was himself once again. She could tell that he was shaken from everything that had happened. He didn't have to say anything to her. Going to dinner with Claire and Dean had helped things, but she wanted to talk to him herself and just spend some time with him without anything crazy happening.

She walked into the bedroom, walking over to the bed where Sam was. "Hey you," she said, lying down close to him and kissing his cheek. "He's asleep. I only had to read it three times tonight."

"He's really glad you're home. And so am I."

"Just being here with you, with Caden in the next room, makes me feel better." Sam smiled. "I'm not really in the mood for words." He shifted against her. He wasn't pushing for anything more than laying together, just being together, but at the same time he wasn't going to say no if she took his hint another way. He wanted, needed, to feel close to her, and words were only getting in the way at the moment.

	"We don't need to talk," she said, kissing him deeply. If he didn't wanted to go further, they didn't have to, but she needed him. Sam was content to just lay there in silence for a while. He may have modded off, and dozed for a few minutes. He woke with that hazy fog over his head, but blinked it away. He was safe, safe in Ruby's arms. He shifted and nuzzled against her, pressing his face to her neck for a moment, just inhaling the scent of her.

He pulled back to look to her face, to meet her eyes. He smiled a soft, unassuming smile. His hand moved to stroke the collar of her shirt.

	Ruby found that she dozed off for a little bit herself, smiling when she opened her eyes to find him nuzzling against her. Her hand traveled down his shirt, running across his chest and stomach. She leaned in close to him, kissing along his jawline. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Without words, without so much as a murmured sigh, Sam shifted and drew his hands up allowing Ruby to tug his T-shirt over his head. His hands went to do the same with hers, discarding it off the side of the bed.

His fingers ran across Ruby's bare shoulders and down her arms. He sought her eyes to meet her gaze, and he smiled a little smile as he leaned in to kiss her lips.

	Ruby tugged his shirt over his head, tossing it on the floor next to the bed. She slipped out of her shirt, before unfastening her bra and tossing it onto the floor. 	Sam spasmed as a result of her touch. It was a good thing, and he moaned softly. He pressed against her, and his hands roamed over her skin. He felt a sudden urgency to get her completely undressed, and he wasted no time doing it. He wanted to take her then and there, but Sam was a man of passion. He felt a desperate need, but he wasn't willing to forgo a little build up, a little foreplay. He held himself in check, forced himself to take a breath and slow down.

He eased a hand between her thighs, fingers sliding against folds of skin. His eyes closed as he touched her, explored as if for the first time.

The uneven hitch of her breath illicted a moan from him. His eyes fluttered, and his back arched. He pressed himself against her, and drew his hand back and out of the way. He shifted his hips, moving himself away from her hand, and driving forward to his goal. He made a small sound as his erection penetrated her body. His eyes opened and he leaned in to kiss her as his hips sank against her.

His hips established a steady rhythm within seconds. Sam barely had to think about it. He made a conscious effort not to think about anything else. He closed his eyes, and tried to lose himself in the sensations of the kiss, and their bodies joined together. Nothing else existed in that moment, but the two of them, and the overwhelming love he felt for her.

He didn't deserve it. He certainly never expected to find something so raw and beautiful and real with Ruby. He refused to rehash all they'd been through before Colligo, because that was a lifetime ago, and it felt like some long ago movie he'd seen and mostly forgotten. What mattered was the reality of their relationship now, and the fact he trusted her with his life, his love, and his son. Their son.

He sighed softly as he shifted, thrusting a slightly different angle. He shuddered against her and deepened the kiss at the same time.

Ruby made a soft noise, moving her hips to match his rhythm. Her hands moved to his face, caressing his cheeks with her thumbs. She allowed herself to get lost in kiss, savoring the moment as they moved together.

She'd never expected them to be together like this. When she arrived in Colligo, she had fully expected him to never want anything to do with her again, after everything that she done to him before. But that didn't matter now. They'd moved past it, and formed a life together. They were a family, and she wouldn't trade the love and life together that they had for anything in the world.

She pressed her forehead against him the kiss deepened, wrapping her legs around his waist.

Sam moved in time with Ruby, everything perfect and right. He closed his eyes, he breathed a deep sigh. He shuddered against her, the motions of his body as much an expression of his deep felt emotions as anything.

"Love you," he murmured, his voice thick and uneven. He pulled back, enough to meet her eyes. His were intense, bright with all those emotions he couldn't quite express.

Ruby moved her hands to cup Sam's face, locking her dark brown eyes with his. She held his gaze as they moved together, her breath hot and uneven against his. Everything she felt about him was written all over her face as they kept in perfect time with each other's movements.

"Love you...so much," she whispered, her ragged and uneven as another moan escaped her lips.

Sam's eyes fluttered as Ruby cupped his face. He felt so many unidentifiable emotions, every one careening through his head. He shuddered and spasmed, but never lost his rhythm. He was so perfectly matched with Ruby that everything felt right with her while everything inside him felt completely out of control.

He knew Lucifer wasn't his doing. He had never said yes, he had never invited Satan in to himself. But the history had been written, and it had played out in a sense, in Colligo. He carried no blame, but that didn't stop him from shouldering the guilt. Lucifer had used his hands to torture both Ruby and Claire. He had killed both Gabriel and Jade. He had tried to lure Caden to him, and the end result had been cutting Juno out of Caden's life completely. Lucifer had wrecked havoc on all of Colligo, and eve if Sam hadn't invited him in, Sam had been the vessel he used to do his dirty work.

Sam knew his guilt wasn't healthy. It wasn't even a little bit appropriate. But he couldn't walk around with the knowledge of what Lucifer did, how Lucifer had used his body, without feeling guilty. But all at once he reached a point with Ruby that it no longer mattered. All that mattered was the woman he was with, the one that he loved. He surrendered himself to her completely, leaving all the guilt behind, to focus on the moment and the pleasure that they shared.
