Rose had never been happier to see someone arrive when she noticed Jack was here. She barely even wanted to give him the option to say no to her, she was already shoving her trainers on when she started talking to him. She wanted to see him as soon as she could and when he offered to sit and listen, she jumped at the chance. She usually talked to Sirius about everything but he probably needed a break from it all before he exploded. Grabbing her bag, she headed out of the TARDIS, shouting a quick goodbye to the Doctor just in case he was in there. Not that she would know, she barely saw him anymore and she wouldn't be surprised if he didn't notice if she just stayed in the house they had. The house he barely went into.

Running from the TARDIS, she just enjoyed the moment of freedom that running gave and soon she noticed that she was near the library. It didn't take her long to spot Jack and she didn't even stop running. She just kept going until her arms were flung around him and she lifted her legs, clinging on tightly.

"God I'm happy to see you."

"I like the way you think, Captain." She didn't let up with his hands, giggling as she kept going. They probably looked like idiots but she was far too happy to see him to care if she looked like a big kid. Plus, the more they teased and played, the longer she could put off the chat he clearly wanted about the things that had upset her.

"Worse comes to worse, you can message Sirius. Or the Doctor but he might not come.

"So, pick us a bar or pub or other drinking establishment, and let's start the boozing!" He didn't care either how childish or not they might look; that's usually how he operated, anyway, just be himself and who cares? And it was Rose. Of course he was just going to be himself with Rose.

"I take it you'll have the numbers in your PDA. Why wouldn't the Doctor come for you?"

It wouldn't take long for them to get to the pub, she knew that. The one she had picked anyway was only a few minutes away. She wanted to get drunk as fast as possible with whoever she could and Jack was just the first one to say to her. Plus he was fun to be with, so there was little point in saying no. He was one of her best friends.

"I'm on his bad side at the moment, even if he keeps quiet, I'm trying not to push it right now."

"It is," Rose said quietly, managing a smile when he let her in first. Glancing around, she nodded to a quiet table in the corner. "You go grab that. What do you want?"

She was going to go buy the drinks anyway, he might as well get the table for them. She'd rather not be in the thick of it right now, maybe later when she's had a few drinks. For now she wanted a hidden away table.

"I'm good at grabbing that. Get me something strong; I'm not picky right now." Times when he didn't just want to get full of alcohol, he'd cared to choose something good and something tasty. It wasn't one of those times. He let her go so she could order at the bar, and took the table for them. The thought occurred to him that it seemed like anywhere, anytime, the quiet tables were always in corners, unless the place was round. Maybe they should start a movement to create quiet center tables, just to confuse everyone.

"Sure thing." Vodka it was then. Or something with vodka. Well, to be honest, to start vodka would work. Then they could find anything stronger if things got worse. She asked for two vodka and cokes along with six shots of vodka. They could just start working on getting smashed pretty quickly. Lifting the tray with the drinks, she walked back over to him. "Start with vodka. Then we can see where we end up."

	"Of course. They can do for now, then I'll get more in a second," she said as she downed a shot pretty quickly. She needed this, she really did. "I don't know if they have anything as strong as hypervodka. Unfortunately." 	He could've done without the vodka and coke, but since Rose had ordered it, might as well give one a try. It was surprising to see Rose knocking back alcohol like that, actually. 	She knocked back another shot, before taking quite a large sip of the vodka and coke, just to add another slight flavour. She needed another taste. She raised her eyebrow at that, as if she could read his mind. She could be a bitch, she knew she could. Not as much as some but she still had it in her to be cruel. Though she never intended on being like that to the Doctor.

"This thing happened here, where we couldn't see or talk to others from our world. The Doctor, the one with one heart, arrived during that and I talked to him after a little. Then I went out with my friend and got...completely pissed out of my head. Then I saw the Doctor and well...we got carried away. Very carried away." Her tone made it clear what carried away entailed. "But the thing is, I'm kind of...in a relationship is the best way I can say it. With the Doctor we know."

Right, just because Rose had never been a bitch to him didn't mean she wasn't capable of it, or that she could be from someone else's perspective. Still, Jack didn't like her calling herself that.

He listened silently, with some vodka-sipping, as she got that out. "So you had a night with the Doctor while you've been involved with the other Doctor. Are they upset with you? Or are you upset with you?"

"Both. Well, the one I'm with is pissed even if he doesn't talk about it. I haven't spoken much with the other one without it being awkward, and I feel like a right fucking cow for doing it."

She knocked back another vodka shot, only then realising she pretty much only had half her vodka and coke left. Huffing, she downed that also before resting her chin on her hand.

"I couldn't even remember for hours that it happened. I thought it was him. My Doctor...God I can't believe I was this stupid."

Right, he was trying to be reasonable about this, but this wasn't a situation about reason. It was very much emotional-- Rose felt awful for doing it, the Doctor wasn't going to see it logically...

"Oh, sweetheart. Can I ask you something? Why are you with one of him and not the other? And if you give me some cash, I'll get more drinks while you think of how to answer."

"The one I'm with says it. Occasionally." She didn't expect it much from him, it was just how he could be. He didn't like saying it because he didn't feel like he had to say it. And he didn't, she always knew, it was just nice to hear.

Jack's question threw her off and she was grateful for the distraction of more drink. Reaching into her purse, she pulled some money out and handed it over. Maybe the few seconds to think would do her good.

"Get whatever you want."

He was pleasantly surprised to hear that-- good, about time the Doctor started verbalizing it-- although Rose hadn't answered the real question about the two Doctors.

"Thanks. Back in a jiffy." He gave her a playful salute before taking the money away with him to get them a fresh order.

After a few minutes to do that and give time to think, he returned and set the tray down. There was a fresh row of shots, plus two cocktails. "I asked the bartender to come up with something that tasted great and went down easy but would punch our lights out."

She wanted to run, she really did. It was hard to explain her relationship to others and sometimes it was hard to explain it to herself. A lot of the time it was hard to explain it to herself. She smiled a little when Jack came back, nodding at his explanation.

"Sounds perfect."

She picked up a shot straight away and threw it back before her eyes fell on Jack again. Sighing softly, she played with the empty glass.

"Our Doctor, the one with two hearts, he's...I was with him long before the other turned up. I feel incredible with him. And then there's my future when I get home. Sometimes this place updates your memories in a way. To how things would have been for you by this point in time at home. And he has left me on the parallel universe with the human Doctor and...I'm married to him with a child. I have a future with him waiting for me, but the Doctor I was with first...I'm going to lose him."

"If all goes well, I should be carrying you home soon enough. You just might have to steer me a bit."

It was very clear how little Rose wanted to talk about this, but she should, get these things out to someone who hadn't been involved in the situation yet also deeply cared about her; venting to a bartender wouldn't cut it.

"Ah, you were? And then in the future..." He kept the surprise off his face fairly well, though he couldn't help the empathy. "Do you remember, then, what it's like having a family with him? Or just sort of know the facts of it? See... the one you aren't with, he doesn't remember being dropped off, or any of that, hasn't happened to him yet. So I wonder, how's he left feeling? And how do you feel around him?"

"If you want to take me home when I'm that bad your best bet is to call Sirius. He knows where my house is and the TARDIS is normally near."

She nodded at his question, downing another shot. She didn't care if she wasn't giving him many, she wanted to be as distracted as possible from this entire conversation and getting bloody hammered would be the only way to do it.

"Yeah. It's weird, I haven't actually done it but in my head it's like have. And no, he hasn't been left behind yet and my Doctor doesn't know I have that future with a family ahead of me. I just feel...Awkward. Because I know how he feels."
