WHO: Hugo Weasley and Sherlock Holmes
WHAT: Sherlock has become the reluctant babysitter
WHERE: Hermione, John and Sherlock's apartment
WHEN: Sunday Afternoon
PROGRESS: In Progress

Hugo had spent the last two days with his mother and the man, who was not his father, that she was married to as well as their friend Sherlock. Even at six Hugo had already read Sherlock Holmes so he was familar with both him and the man that his mother was married to; even if they were somewhat different than the ones in the books. Hugo didn't like the fact that his father wasn't there and that his parents weren't together, but he didn't want to risk his mother sending him back to live with Uncle Charlie or someone else if he said something wrong, so he'd done his best to be nice to John and Sherlock, but had spent most of the last two days keeping to himself and playing with Crookshanks and the kitten.

He'd also spent a lot of time staring at the bookshelves, wondering what sort of books they held, but he didn't dare touch any of them because he didn't know if John or Sherlock would yell at him. This wasn't his house after all and the books didn't belong to him. Sure, he could have asked to read them, but he didn't know either of the men and didn't know if they'd let him. Of course when no one was looking, Hugo had approached the bookshelves to read the titles, his curiousity getting the better of him, but still not touching anything.

As the silence lingered, Hugo began to think that Sherlock would say no and he was about to step away from the bookshelf to find Crookshanks again when the older man replied, Hugo's face lighting up a little at the answer, "Thank you, Mr. Holmes." He wasn't quite sure what he wanted to read first, but there were a few books that he recognized from Uncle Percy's bookshelves at home that Hugo had read before and he took one of those first.

Book in hand, Hugo carried it carefully to the couch and sat down, his feet dangling off the edge seeing as how he didn't quite possess the Weasley height yet that he would when he was older. For the next few minutes, Hugo read quietly, but after about three chapters, he began glancing up at Sherlock every couple of minutes before he finally spoke, "What're you reading?"
