WHO: Parker and Gabriel
WHAT: A discussion about Christmas in July. With these two there is no telling.
WHEN: Mid-afternoon
WHERE: A giant gingerbread house in the park. Yes, I am completely serious. What? You're surprised?
RATING: TBD
STATUS: In Progress

An hour or so after Parker had discovered the gingerbread house outside of her apartment, she had come across the one in the park. Five minutes after discovering the giant gingerbread house in the park, she had broken into it. And now, nearly fifteen minutes after that, Parker had taken to building snowballs to toss at the neighbourhood bullies who had decided that no children other than the ones they allowed to pass would be able to approach the gingerbread house that she had, albeit unknowingly to the kids, commandeered before they'd even arrived.

Perched inside the house made of gingerbread, the professional thief had a veritable stockpile of snowballs and a perfect view of the going ons outside via one of the windows (outlined with strawberry flavored licorice bits) to monitor everything taking place. So far she hadn't had to throw a snowball at the three bullies standing sentry outside, mainly because they hadn't actually stopped any of the other kids from approaching so much as threaten it. However Parker had no intention of letting them get that far, if she could help it, and was steadily trying to come up with some way to run the punks off without giving away her position or even the fact that she was technically an adult.

Besides keeping an eye on the developing situation, of course, Parker was also enjoying being inside of the massive, munchable domain. The fact that she was inside a house made of sweets was enough to make her smile, nevermind that she was able to occasionally snag a piece to eat while watching the bullies at work. In fact, the only thing that Parker wasn't smiling about at the moment was her general confusion over what was taking place. Because, contrary to popular belief, Parker was not an idiot and could see the 'Christmas in July' bit coming from a mile and a half away.

However she had no idea what to do about it.

Was she supposed to put up a tree with more goodies to bribe Santa? Should she plan on making a small cake for Jesus and singing Happy Birthday like she did every Christmas Eve since she was a little girl? Was Santa coming and, if so, was she supposed to write him a letter like she did every December? So many questions, with even more piling up daily, and yet Parker didn't know a single answer to any of them. Sighing softly, she forced the worries out of her mind and tried to focus on what was taking place around her. The bullies were facing off with a few kids now, all but daring the other ones to get closer so they could be stopped. Blindly Parker reached out, fingers searching for one of her pre-made snowballs that she could use to teach the kids a lesson.

While other people might have had issue, or at least taken pause, at suddenly having someone else in the giant gingerbread house who was tossing coconut-covered treats at them, Parker didn't even blink. Not only did being with Cas make her rather used to angels randomly turning up at odd times but she also knew better than to ever truly let her guard down entirely as long as Gabriel was around. So at the 'Heads up, Blondie', her arm went up and palm opened at the same time she turned her attention toward the archangel, allowing her to catch the treat with ease while grinning at him.

Sitting back on her heels, she opened up the plastic bag containing the Sno Ball and took a bite. She happily munched on the treat while Gabriel spoke. She saw no point in trying to stop his big brother speech, probably wouldn't have even considered it if he hadn't resorted to 'blah blah blah's', either. She liked Gabriel and knew that she'd never make him have to follow through with any threats because she had zero intention of ever hurting Cas. Although she did eye him when he said she could do better, the protective feelings she had for both his AU little brother as well as Dean coming to the surface.

"There's no doing better than Cas and Dean," she said simply, believing every word of it. She might have said more but was busy taking another bite of her Sno Ball so she didn't bother. She did, however, very nearly start choking on that bite at the question he asked a few seconds later. Giving a slight start and with wide eyes, she swallowed hard.

"Me?" she echoed, very nearly looking around the gingerbread house as though there might be someone else in there with them. "I get to fill in for Santa?!" The last word was said with a slight squeal, an enormous smile spreading across her face. Then she paused as something occurred to her. "What about a sleigh. Do I get to use a sleigh? It's wrong, filling in for the big guy and not having a sleigh. And reindeer too!"
