Regulus shifted on the sofa, leaning back a bit more into the corner made by the back and arm. The standard furniture in these flats weren't the best as far as luxury and comfort went but they weren't cold, hard stones so they would have to do. The television was on, though Regulus wasn't paying it too much mind, he was more interested in the girl next to him. Juno leaned into him more as he moved back, as she was doing so previous to his trying to get more comfortable.

"Sorry, is this uncomfortable?" he said as he dropped his arm back around her shoulder and played with a few strands of her hair. As odd as it seemed since that night he'd spent here in Juno's flat and their subsequent discussion of their relationship status Regulus was a great deal more affectionate and touchy-feely, for Regulus that is, as he was still rather reserved for an eighteen year old boy.

Juno made sure to have decent comfort food around for him whenever he came over, instead of just snacks--which on the one hand wasn't hard, since she was trying to eat healthy during her pregnancy, but on the other she wasn't exactly much of a chef. But at least she hadn't heard of any new meltdowns or explosions between the brothers, which was good.

And he was spending more time with her, doing together-y things, which was very good.

"I'm not squishing you yet," she said, "But if I stay pregnant for much longer, I'm just going to keep getting bigger." She sighed contentedly, laughing a little as well. "Will you still like me when I'm skinny again?

Regulus paused, this was a fine line to walk. Women and their weight fixations. On the one had he could point out that Ariadne was a lovely woman and a wonderful example of what Juno would look like sans-pregnant belly. But then he would be admitting to noticing the good looks of another woman. That was very bad indeed. Shit. This was a trap, he did hear Admiral Ackbar's voice telling him to retreat, thank you Juno for showing him those movies.

He thought long and hard over his next diplomatic move.

He brushed a thumb along Juno's ear, "I'm sure if the change is too dramatic there are always magical remedies." And then he leaned over and kissed the top of her head, which was a tad difficult and made their bodies contact more, but he found he didn't mind so much. This was Juno.

	She snorted incredulously, but the kiss silenced her well enough, even if it was only to her head. She felt her cheeks flush as her heart fluttered, and she slipped an arm around his middle. And that was when she felt Caden wake up and start to squirm within the confines of her aforementioned belly. Maybe if she ignored it, the baby would go back to sleep? Regulus smiled more when that arm came to rest around his middle, congratulating himself on his ability to stay present in this for so long without reaching that personal touch limit he had. Again, this was probably all Juno's doing.

And then he felt it. It took him a moment to figure out what that bumping was in his side because he'd never before, in all his time spent with Juno, felt the life inside her stomach move. Not once. Ever. But now he had. The kid inside her stomach clearly didn't appreciate all the stomach to stomach touching going on and was making his displeasure, in Regulus' opinion it had to be displeasure, known by kicking him.

The sound similar to what frightened mouse might make escaped his throat. It was hardly dignified. And after he unfroze he sat up, a bit abruptly. The look on his face probably giving away more than he cared to.

	Juno tensed, a couple of couch pillows falling to the floor as she caught her balance and scooted back to give Regulus some space. The look on his face wasn't quite panic, but he did look as if someone had just tried to hex him or something. She could tell he'd reached the edge of his comfort zone. "Reg?" Regulus, wide eyed, simply found himself pointing at Juno's stomach, unable to speak for a good moment, because the right words were difficult to sum up.

"Your, uh, b-kid," he almost said 'brat' but knew that would not go over well, "touched- kicked me." And those words sounded just as strange coming from his mouth as they did inside his mind. Babies clearly weren't his thing.

"My buh-kid, huh?" Juno echoed, trying not to laugh. "I don't think he touched you on purpose, Reg. There's just not much room left in there anymore. He gets hiccups when he practices breathing, and I think he gets frustrated."

She rested one hand on her stomach, rubbing the bump where Caden's knee was pressing out against her side. "You should feel it from my end."

Luckily for Reg, he would never have to experience that.

Regulus was rather... he didn't know what the word was. He'd not liked the feeling be being kicked by Juno's unborn child. It made shivers run down his back, the bad kind. Yes, he understood it was entirely different from Juno's perspective but all the same it was safe to say he'd crossed over the boundaries of his comfort.

His manner of sitting stiffly and the wide eyed look on his face gave away his discomfort. "Um, right. Right. Weird for you." In all, he wasn't trying to be mean, but it was difficult for him to get over his stumbling block.

Juno scooted a little farther away, giving him a little buffer of space. She knew he wasn't trying to be unkind, he was just creeped out. Perturbed. "Sorry," she muttered, glancing between him and her stomach. "It's only another few weeks."

She leaned forward a little and put her fists in the small of her back, trying to massage the dull ache. "God, I can hardly wait."

And there Juno went one up-ing Regulus. She did have more right to complain than he did. Though that didn't mean he stopped feeling uncomfortable about being kicked.

"Umm, ya, just a few weeks. Not long." He shifted forward, trying to alleviate the odd sensation he was feeling, and then he shifted back. Quite the fidget-er. "You know, maybe I should go, it's late." It wasn't too late, he'd certainly stayed later before.

"Yeah. Maybe." If only to save them from the awkward that settled in around them any time the subject turned to sex, relationships, or the details of Juno's pregnancy.

Juno sighed. "I should probably try to get to sleep anyway." It wasn't a school night, but she knew she'd be waking up every few hours to use the toilet, now that the baby's head was practically wedged between her knees. "I guess I'll talk to you tomorrow?"
