"What-?!" Regulus managed before he was dropped unceremoniously at the top of the stone steps leading down into what, at Regulus' first, minimal glance told him, was a rather desolate city. Regulus started to scramble up when one of the suits of armor extended his arm towards Regulus, offering some small device. Regulus, having never seen this obviously muggle thing before, stared blankly at it, though he soon caught on that the suit of armor wanted him to accept the device, and upon Regulus doing so the suit promptly straightened, turned about face and marched back to the building.
"Hey! Wait! What just happened!?" Regulus, device forgotten the moment it touched his hand and left on the steps, had reached his feet and was chasing after the suits now filing into the building. But Regulus wasn't quick enough and the doors closed before Regulus could reach them. He tried the handle, tugging furiously, but the doors wouldn't budge.
"Hey!" he shouted in vain, the sound echoed behind him through the city. He gave up after a few more tugs, a couple poundings of the fist, and one kick to the door.
Now, resigned to the fact that he could not get back into the building he woken up in, Regulus, hand scrubbing through his hair, turned to survey his situation. He was drenched, his soaking clothes had been the first then he'd noticed when he woke up, and that fit perfectly with his last memory of being held under water by cold, dead hands. And he was in an apparently empty city, though some sounds in the distance hinted at otherwise. He wondered, briefly if this was Hell, but he didn't believe in Hell so much as he thought he would simply cease to be upon death. But he could accept Hell, if he had to go on existing after dying.
"Hello?!" he called, wondering if this was a Personal Hell, or something he would be sharing with other eternally damned. When that gave him no result he walked over to the device on the ground and picked it up for further inspection, the idea being this was his only unexplored option in his immediate vicinity.
Some light flashed, blinked for a moment then remained steady. And then something peculiar happened, the numbers 201D came up, and a map stating he was... somewhere, with a course plotted and the number next to a red dot, a final destination. Regulus was hesitant to accept this.
"Hello?!" he tried again, looking up from the device and scanning the area, with a city looking this used, with automobiles and trash, and odd sounds somewhere beyond, someone else had to be around.
