WHO: God (closed unless someone really wants to talk)
WHAT: Thinking about the most recent events regarding a certain tiny Antichrist.
WHEN: Sunday evening, not long after Adam reads this.
WHERE: The balcony of apartment #401D.
RATING: Kid-safe.
STATUS: Complete (unless someone opts to join)

God had known it was going to happen. Of course she knew. She was the Almighty, after all. However, just because she knew it was going to happen didn't mean it was easy. Anytime anyone had to learn a tough lesson, it was also difficult for her. She felt their pain and shock, understood their confusion. She knew their guilt and, while it was well within her ability to release them from it, the simple fact of the matter was that to do so would undermine whatever lesson they were meant to learn in the first place.

It was especially difficult not to get involved, though, when a child was concerned. Children were different than adults. They tended to take things much more to heart. They were innocent in ways that most adults weren't and oftentimes let their guilt weigh on them much more heavily. And Adam Young was, despite being Lucifer's son, very much like other children his own age.

So she said nothing when Stephen Hart explained how he had died. She did nothing when Adam first read the message that afternoon. She simply remained on the balcony of the apartment that she'd been 'assigned' upon her arrival in Colligo and felt reality instantly shift around her. Her gaze cut out to the courtyard in time to see a blur of blond-haired upset dash through it and in the direction of the forest in the distance. The boy's canine followed closely at his heels, whining softly and tail tucked. God watched with a sorrow-filled expression until Adam was past the no longer dinosaur-infested city, knowing he was going to need some time to sort through that which he'd learned.

It wasn't an easy lesson. Having abilities that others didn't, though, meant that he did need to learn that sometimes his actions would affect others. Yes, Stephen had needed this even if he didn't realize it at the time. He needed to come to terms with his own grisly demise if he was ever going to find peace in this new place he called home. However it was a bitter, difficult pill for Adam and God felt sympathy for both of them while purposefully not intervening in either of the lessons that needed to be learned that day.

Well, that wasn't entirely true. She did exert her Will enough so that those who had opted to keep the dinosaurs as pets were allowed to do so. There was no need to punish those who had developed bonds with the creatures. Especially since, as Adam had insisted all along, the dinosaurs wouldn't harm anyone. So she let that much stay. The rest, however, was washed away by Adam's upset. It was how it should be. Dinosaurs weren't meant to co-exist with humans. A handful was one thing, especially if being cared for by those they would someday consider their Masters. Entire herds, however, were a bit much and it really was for the best that they were gone now.

Of course, with them went the boy's desire to do anything else. Any intentions of exploring other future occupations had evaporated the moment Adam had read Stephen's emotional comment. That, too, was alright. Eventually he would come back around, of that much God was certain. His abilities weren't going to go dormant and his desire to use them was only going to grow until he had no choice but to listen lest he create something accidentally that caused far more harm than good. But for now, things were back to the way they were meant to be. With, the new pets aside, one small exception.

Slowly her gaze flickered to the skies above. Already dark clouds had begun to form over the forest and were moving rapidly toward the city itself. Lightning flashed and thunder rumbled. A wind had begun to pick up and lifted a few of her dark locks. The Almighty sighed softly to herself, wanting very much to comfort the boy who was inadvertently responsible for the change in the weather yet knowing she wouldn't. This, too, was something he had to learn to deal with on his own. Control was paramount to his own decision to live a normal, human life. And besides, it wasn't as though it would last long. For now, however, a storm was on the way.

It was going to be a big one.

God was aware when Satan appeared. She was also aware of what was about to be said long before it was actually spoken. Even still, hearing it didn't make the irony of the comment any less significant. It almost served to bring a smile to her face. Almost.

Her gaze flickered away from the sky, downward, after a brief moment and God peered down at a being who had once been her most loved creation of all. Her lips were turned upward but the expression wasn't quite a humorous one. Rather a knowing look, tinged with vague amusement, and acknowledgment of what had been said.

You would certainly know, she replied mildly. The first few drops of rain began to fall. God's gaze turned toward the skies once more to watch the clouds gathering in on themselves. What must be done, must be done.
