Merlin stuck his head in the door and grinned when he finally spotted Severus in one of the beds. "Severus!" He smiled and hurried into the room, glad that he finally got the right room. He'd ended up talking to some old lady for a half an hour on his first try, feeling bad for leaving cause she kept calling him 'son.' He sat down on the end of the bed, brandishing a back pack full of stuff he'd picked up for the potions master. He'd taken a little longer getting here then he'd intended. The first day he decided to visit he'd run into Wyatt and Chris, and today there was the minor delay caused by his magical mishap. Still, it made for some interesting stories to share with Severus if he was interested (even if he wasn't, Merlin would probably tell him anyways.)
"So I brought some food. Fruit, snickerdoodles - I don't know why they're called that, but they are really good cookies, a sandwich or two..." He explained, pulling out a brown paper bag first with the snacks, and a few bottles of water and juice. These all went on the nightstand before he noticed the little rolling table that he promptly pulled forward to lay out everything else. Three books, a boxed board game, a book of puzzles, a little plastic stand...
"I wasn't sure what you'd like, so this one is Sherlock Holmes. That is a Midsummer's Night Dream. This is poetry." Merlin would've gotten comedies or romances, but some how he figured Severus wouldn't have the same tastes as him. The lady at the book store helped him pick these out. He then put the black plastic stand on top of them, it would hold the books up and open so Severus wouldn't have to hold it himself. "This stand will hold the book for you to read."
Then there was the wooden box, a folded chess or checkers board with the pieces held inside. The book had word searches, scrambles, sudoku, and other time consuming games that he thought might be okay since Severus had one good hand. "Good? Did I forget anything?"
