What: Billy casually calls around to see how Penny's doing.

Billy raised his hand, finger hovering over the button with Penny's name on it.

He can do this. He's allowed to do this. He can call over to say hi. To see how she's doing. That's completely normal and allowed and not creepy.

But he can't make himself press the button. He's gonna get all tongue tied again and it'll be really obvious why he's here, and then it'll turn out that he's been reading all the signs wrong and she'll be horrified or worse, she'll laugh, and-

He squeezed his eyes shut and took a deep breath.

And pressed the buzzer.

He was pretty sure his jaw had actually dropped. How did she know-

He had a sudden urge to tell her, to admit it all, but something was holding him back.

But how did she know? His blog, maybe? He felt the blood drain from his face at the thought of her watching his blog...

He swallowed, blinking and looking down at his knees. "I - um - I bet he'd like that."

"So, uh, have you watched his blog?" he asked, trying to sound casual.

	She slid her fingers under his chin. She didn't like the way he hung his head. Her other hand rested on his thigh briefly. "No, I haven't. I've seen him on the news. Her fingers lifted his chin again and he smiled slightly. He was just thinking to himself how much better he was at not reacting to her touch when he felt her hand on his thigh.

He glanced down, breath hitching as he stared at her hand. On his leg. Her hand. On his leg.

He tore his attention back to what she was saying.

"Oh. He has a blog. I think he talks about - about a girl on there," he said, hoping that his voice sounded calm. Or at least normal. "Or, I mean, that's what I've heard. I haven't read it..." He was trying really hard to act casually.

Which was really hard to do because she was moving closer and -

Leaning against him. He could smell her hair again, and he took a deep breath.

He wasn't really sure what to do with his hand, and had a couple of seconds indecision (that seemed way longer to him).

Eventually, he moved one of his hands from his pocket, reaching around her to let it rest on the back of the couch.

This was so surreal.

He looked down at her, brow furrowing slightly. He really didn't like hearing her sound so ... sad. And Penny not know love? How was that possible. She was-she was perfect.

'I love you,' he thought, but he knew there was no way he could say that out loud.

He squeezed her shoulder and pulled her a little closer.

Her hair was brushing against the back of his hand and he really wanted to touch her hair, feel it underneath his fingers.
