COLLIGOWEEN '09 ➠ FUTURE-DATED TO THE 31st.

HALLOWEEN COSTUME BALL
The convention center was alive with activity tonight. The locals acted as if an event such as this happened every Halloween, prattling on in their corners and within their groups about the previous year's happenings, from costume winners to drama queens who had made near-scandalous scenes. There was punch and cookies, cakes and candies, and even a bar at the back that served alcoholic beverages to those of age. Within the convention center, all seemed right. Safe. Enjoyable.

But, down below...

Unknown to the residents of Colligo, one Ethan Rayne was currently hard at work in the basement of the building, setting up a spell he knew by heart. It hadn't gone according to plan last time he cast it, but he was confident it would go his way this time -- especially when his way was also The Collector's way.

He glanced impatiently at the clock. 7PM. The Collector said 11PM. In four hours, all hell would break lose in a symphony of chaos.

"Cinderella's leaving the ball a little early this year..."

MOD NOTE: This is the kick off to the ball! Sub-threads can be found within for your use. However, keep in mind that no one knows what Ethan is up to or that he's even in the city. Future-dated to allow people time to get threads going.

THE COSTUME SPELL IS NOT IN EFFECT YET. This is being done in order to give members time to game within the party prior to the spell being cast. When the spell is cast, a new sub-thread will be posted and members will be notified via the OOC comm. SPELL ACTIVATED!

"Mm, I thought it was too," Damien said with a smile as he saw the Devil in the flesh. This was amazing. He said with a laugh, "I thought of going as the Nazarene. You know.. Christ. But then I thought that maybe some angels wouldn't like that, as they wouldn't find as much humor in it as I do."

He laughed again, gesturing to himself. "It is definitely my favorite holiday. I like the costume too. I mean.. come on, the idea of me as a priest? Hilarious!" He smirked. "You have a good costume too. Meow... let me guess, you're being a bad kitty?"

"I would have much preferred Christ but I understand how some angels would look down on it." She glanced around the room not many people here knew she was the devil and several didn't notice the guy next to her was her son.

"Of course I'm a bad kitty! I very much enjoy playing with the big boys." She added for a touch of truth, taking a sigh she hugged him softly. "This is going to be an interesting Halloween, but have fun while it lasts. Maybe some deamons could join us!" Her eyes flashed as the thought went through her mind.

"Well, I could always dress up at him some other time," he said with a laugh. He had a feeling that he would get along with his mother figure just fine.

"Funny, I like playing with them too," he quipped back as a joke, though his face seemed serious. He hugged her back and smiled, gesturing around them. "I always have fun.. whenever possible. Ohh, deamons, yes! I'd love that. Maybe if they do, they can have fun with me. Ohh.. this priest costume! It gives me several repleplay ideas that'd be best suited in private quarters."

	"Now, Now child we have to remember although this is our holiday we have to share it with the humans." It was true that she could wreck the whole night but part of her knew that God herself would be furious. "Let's just take the night as it comes." "Yes, I know.." he said with a nod, touching himself on the cheek slightly as he saw Satan do the twirl motion. "It's alright, I'm good at sharing. Besides.. it's fun watching humans in action. Even though I like to partake at times."

He laughed, "And it may just be a fun night for all. Better to give than receive.. and all that. Though personally, receiving isn't always a bad thing either." He laughed again, as he was using holy quotes for his own context. Ohh, he was really going to Hell. But not just yet.

She loved his sense of humor and the way he was so interested in the humans. She knew that he was fond of them no matter how bad he tried to act. "Sharing is fun, and they deserve to have a chance at life." She looked around the room for someone she would recognize besides her own son.

Leaning back she pressed against him softly, she cared for him. "I shall see you throughout the night." She whispered as she went off to explore.
