Who: Piper & Chris Halliwell
What: Lunch & the grilling that comes with being a mom & son
When: Noon today
Where: At a nice little café/restaurant place
Rating: TBD.

Lunch had been arranged rather last minute; though most things in their life were. At least here they could have an attempt at normalcy; though the Chris in her life currently was still a baby, but being a witch -- and getting to know Chris from the future -- made her son being an adult already normal. And that didn't sound crazy anymore.

Chris had been here for a while, long enough that she had a lot of questions; how could she not? She'd been getting to grips with the place with the week or so that she'd been here. Paige had helped and Prue... she wasn't sure that she'd see her again, not alive anyway. Since she'd died she hadn't seen her, and she understood now why but bringing her here? Piper had to push that thought away, gather anything that she thought that she needed for lunch - and to think of every and any question that she had. What had he been doing, how was he, how was his charge?

The walk from the apartments to where the main shops were didn't take long; everything had been conveniently placed close together which was nice. Very homely. They didn't have a reservation but thankfully it wasn't that busy. The waitress saw her to a table where she waited, ordering just a glass of water for the time being.

Chris was a bit nervous about meeting his mother for lunch. Which was both ridiculous and very fitting. On the one hand, it was his mom. Piper Halliwell. She wasn't the kind of woman who cased nervousness to fester. Sure, she had a temper one should definitely be wary of. A sharp tonge that anyone with a brain wanted to avoid. Sure, she was a witch to reckon with on her own right. But when you got down to it, this was the woman who always had warm cookies ready for him, and an even warmer hug. No matter how large or small the age difference between them was at the current moment. Which, in all honesty, lead to the other hand. The fact that she was always taken away from him before he was good and ready to deal with it.

However, Chris knew that she would just hunt him down and corner him if he attempted to avoid her. And the same way it had for his aunts Billie and Paige, whenever he even considered avoiding her, he would hear his Grandpa Victor in his head, reminding him. He could do this. He could make the most of at least this, of the time he had with the family he had here. Even his aunt Prue.

He might not know her but he knew about her from stories, and from the hazy memories that the female version of him had from the other version of her; she wouldn't appreciate him avoiding her either. That is when she found out about him. Stubborn Halliwell women.

Chris arrived to the cafe just in time to see the waitress sit the glass of water in front of his mother. She looked good, healthy and seeing her made it just a bit easier. Yet, he still had to force his feet to move forward.

"Hey mom." He stated, announcing his arrival.

Piper had barely ordered her water before a waitress brought it to her, along with Chris. She'd expected to be there for a few minutes; to gather her bearings and to think of those mothering questions that she hadn't really expected to ask for at least twenty more years. But here they were, and at least she'd get good at the tough questions.

"Chris." She moved her glass to the side, giving him a warm smile and standing up to greet up. "Aren't you going to give your mother a hug?"

Strange was a word that didn't factor in on her vocabulary anymore and having a son close to the same age as her seemed to be expected; if magic planned to throw anything else at her, she wasn't sure if she'd be surprised or not.
