If I ask whoever's in charge, do you think they could bring my actual Father here? From before he got caught? Because I don't really like the ones that this place gives me and they brought Morgana here from before so they could get him too, right?

[OOC: BACKDATED to earlier today. Also a psychic message to Morgana. Quite a grumpy one. ]

That means you don't think it'll happen.

It means that it's possible. For a long time it was simply four of us from Camelot. However, now the number is slowly increasing. There is a strong possibility that your father might come. After all, it brings people that we know or will come to care for. Morgause, for example.

I hope that they bring him here for you.

I don't think I'd like to tell him what happened to him, though. He'd be upset. Like when I told Arthur what he did to me, only worse.

But then they wouldn't have to give me a new Father here, because I'd have my real one.

If yours came, would you tell him the things you know?

I [hesitates] I imagine it would depend on what moment he was taken from. He might already know. I understand not wanting to tell him. He might ask; however, you wouldn't have to be the one to tell him.

Oh, Mordred. No one can ever replace your father. No matter what games this place gets up to. His meaning to you, his place in your heart - nothing and no one could ever change that, no matter what they might say.

The things I know?

Who else would do it? He doesn't know any of you like I did when I came here. I only met you and Gwen and everyone else because he got caught and I didn't.

I know that. But this place doesn't. Why else would it try and make families? Maybe it's just muddled.

Yes. Things you know. Like he dies and you go and live with other people and about Morgause being your sister and my aunt and everything. And you both having magic even when Uther says it wrong and that he'd try to hurt you if he knew back home, even though he was supposed to look after you.

I would, if you wanted me to do such. You shouldn't have to tell your father that he died, at least not alone.

Because it can? Perhaps to see how we would react. From what I've seen the people here are very close to the families that are with them. They actually like each other more often than not.

[There is a long pause, and a rush of thoughts pass through her head: tiredness, missing her father - an aching sensation that had dulled through the years, wariness, fear, irritation, anger ... and then it was gone. Just like that.] He would love you. [There is a hesitant smile there, but the warmth is certain] Simply adore you, I know it. I think he already knew about Morgause. Possibly of her magic as well. Therefore, I wouldn't have much to say there. Uther is my godfather. Father would have known where I went when he died. I ... as for the rest. On Uther? I wouldn't have the heart to tell him. Father loved Uther as a brother, he died ... I wouldn't do anything to ruin that. No matter how I feel about the man.

He'd know. He'd go in my head and he'd know straight away without you or anyone else having a chance to tell him.

I don't like mine. Apart from Neria. She taught me to fix my knee when I fall over and it gets bruised and cut sometimes. I asked her if she'd look at your eyes. Maybe I get good Mothers here because I never had one back home, but I had a Father and I lost him, so I get bad ones here.

So you wouldn't tell him? You'd just tell him things that would keep him happy? Should we always do that? Because that's not always the truth and you told me to tell the truth to people.

That's very true. That still doesn't mean that he wouldn't want you to be there for him and I'll always be there for you.

Did sh - did you?

No, we shouldn't. It doesn't mean that we don't. Sometimes wanting to protect our loved ones wins out over the importance of telling the truth. It isn't necessarily right, nevertheless, it isn't wrong either. It's a difficult decision to make and each moment that decision differs. However, to be honest, he would know that I was avoiding telling him something. He always could.

I know you will.

Yes! It was really good. It didn't hurt at all. The first few times it left a mark but I'm getting better and soon you won't be able to tell I fell at all. Then I can climb up the tree in the park properly and you won't have to worry and stuff.

I want to meet him. Maybe they'll both come here.

That isn't as reassuring as you meant it to be.

I do hope so.
