Okay.

My dad worked for a secret organization that specialized in trying to minimize the threat caused by the more dangerous types of evolved humans ~~more or less~~. Part of the deal was that me, my mom, and my brother couldn't know what he did - it was the only way to keep us safe - so I grew up thinking he just worked at a paper company in middle management.

Truth is, there are times that I think he's lied so much he's forgotten how to tell the truth about most things. He's a good guy, but he's done things that aren't, and he's always been determined to keep us as sheltered from that as possible.

But, I love him, and I know he loves me. I just... suck at lying and he's always busted me every time I've ever tried. So I just gave up after a while. Not to mention, some part of me wants a life that isn't shrouded in lies and secrecy and the only way to get that is to be honest with people. Or, at least, as much as I can be. I mean, everyone does have their secrets. They just shouldn't have to lie, manipulate, and ~~at times kill~~ do things like that to keep them.

	Woah... you know I think you just broke my PDA. Uh... my mom runs a Sanctuary for abnormals. We round up the dangerous ones so that they can't harm anyone and research the types of abnormalities. Some come for their own safety. Uh she's really old so she's got far too much practise at people lying. And she knows me far too well. (Reply to this) (Parent)
