ATTN: ALL ON NETWORK
PLEASE HELP IMMEDIATELY:

My name is Mary Jane Watson-Parker. My last location was at the Budget Motel at the intersection of Avenue M and Harding in Flatlands, Brooklyn. My purse is GONE. I have six bucks, a lipstick, a frequent-shopper card from Starbucks, and my cell from my pockets. I don't know where I am and I was given this palm pilot thing.

I am trying to locate my husband: his name is Peter Benjamin Parker. Recently came out as Spider-Man to the general public on national television. His face is probably familiar. About 5'10", age thirty-one, brown hair, hazel eyes, skinny but muscular build, was last seen in Spider-Man costume without mask. He may or may not have the mask but is most likely in street clothes. Tends to wear jeans and t-shirts, sometimes with oxford shirts worn unbuttoned, sweatshirts, etc. Sneakers. May or may not have glasses. He also may or may not have his aunt, May Parker, with him. She may or may not be alive. She's elderly, gray hair, green eyes, was last wearing a hospital gown and sporting a gunshot wound in the chest. There is also a possibility that she is just fine and said Peter Parker has a) no idea who I am, b) no recollection of the last seven to ten years, c) knowledge of who I am but no knowledge we were ever married. If you find a Peter Parker in this condition, I still need to locate him.

Please, if anyone reads this, whoever you are, message me back through this network. My cell is (212) 555-6408 but I've got no signal. E-mails: fivetocurtain212@gmail.com or maryjane-watson@halliwell-agencies.com but I can't access either site. Even if you have no information of my husband or his aunt, please provide me with any knowledge or information about the area.

He's here, or at least a Peter Parker is here, and here would be called Colligo. If you show the PDA you were given to a bank, they'll give you a $100. Your phone is useless, so is trying to contact anyone from back home. You've also been assigned a room. Leaving is pretty much impossible. The city, I mean, not your room.

For what it's worth, welcome. And in case I forget, my name is Claire. If you have any questions, feel free to ask away.

THANK YOU for answering, Claire. Let's start this way:

1. Colligo? Where the hell is Colligo?
2. $100 American?
3. A room WHERE?
4. Why impossible?

And most importantly, where did you last see Peter and where can I find him?

You're welcome. Now let's see.

1. We aren't sure where it's at. We know it's not on Earth. It looks like Earth but... it's not.
2. Yeah, American. Everything here seems to be based on American stuff, from what I can tell.
3. There are apartment buildings. Three of them, so far. Your PDA has a really basic sort of map that can show you how to get from the library that you showed up in, to each of them. The letter that follows your room number determines which building you're in.
4. Because it... just is. If you go to the city limits, you end up back in the library. Try it too many times and they lock you up, or so I've been told. Flying out ends the same way.

Also, you should probably know this too. Here, things that might seem fictional in your world are very much real. So if someone says they're someone that you grew up watching on a tv show or have read about in a book or something? Chances are they are that person and aren't crazy or lying or anything like that.

As for Peter, I saw him over this same message board a few nights ago. I'm not sure where he's at in the city, though. But I'm sure he'll respond as soon as he sees this.

1. Not Earth. Okay, this one's new. If it looks like Earth and you can't leave the city, how do you know it's not Earth?
2. Extraterrestrial Americans? Maybe I can find a damn Starbucks.
3. The Ren Faire freaks who threw me out of the library of blank books couldn't have told me that? Are you freaking kidding me?
4. Good thing I can't fly.

Heh. What.

I just hope to God he sees this.

1. Because according to the round-the-clock scans being performed by the Starfleet officers present in the city, there's a second moon. Not to mention there are people here who can just sorta... sense that it's not Earth.
2. I can name at least four Starbucks around here, off the top of my head.
3. Nope, not kidding. And they're not all that helpful. The locals are fine, though, as long as you don't ask them anything about Colligo, how to leave, why you're here, or who or what brought you here.
4. Neither can I, but I know people who can and, they've tried. It doesn't work.

People who are fictional from your reality are very much real, here. It might seem a bit... out there, but it's true.

I'm sure he will. It certainly caught my attention and I'm not exactly someone used to looking out for people who might need help.

1. This is a first. Great.
2. God, I need a venti latte.
3. You mean, as long as I don't ask anything important.

Out there? You know what, it's not that out there. Spider-Man's my husband. I deal with a lot of crap.

Even if you're not, you're pretty good at it. Thank you for your help, Claire.

HE DID WHAT?! Hi. I don't know if you remember me. I'm Miguel, the guy that took your husband's superhero name in 2099 there was a whole time-spanning thing, it was around '95 for you. I can confirm Peter's here and he remembers you and being married to you. I don't know where he is, but he seemed okay.

Miguel, time-spanning... get more specific, buddy, I have a lot of wacky stuff in my past. Last name? Not important. Do you know where you last saw him?

Specific. Okay, sure. I'm Spider-Man in the year 2099. It would've been 1995 for you when Peter and I traded places in time thanks to Fujikawa (in 1995) and Stark-Fujikawa (in 2099) running tests on a temporal energy generator.

Last name is O'Hara, and I didn't see him in person. I talked to him over the network.

Oh. Great. Yeah. It wasn't '95, but thanks. I like to forget stuff like that ever happened. Time travel and alternate universes and so of course I'm going to believe being stuck on an Earth-like planet with a bunch of fictional people and of course you're from the frigging future because that's just the way my life works out.

But in all seriousness, we're not kept here by Mephisto, are we?

Knew I should've paid closer attention to the calenders. You may not believe this, but I know how you feel.

Mephisto? I don't know. I haven't seen any indication that we are, but if he really wanted to do something like this, I doubt he'd ruin the effect by gloating.

I believe it. I believe a lot.

Last thing I remember before the library, I was in the middle of negotiations with him. I can't help feeling like this is somehow my fault or this is his place where he puts people he wants to mess with.

That's going to come in handy here.

This definitely isn't your fault. Even if it is Mephisto, that leaves it squarely in his lap. If it helps, I'm sure I'm not even a blip on the guy's radar, so my being here lends some credence to it not being him.

I talked to someone who works on the Enterprise. And after spending some time here, I actually believe her.

Well, I'd have probably picked Aruba circa the early 90s for a vacation spot, but I guess this place works in a pinch. Although right now there seems to be some crazy going on.

The Enterprise. Really.

Everything had gone to shit and was about to go to more shit. It can't be worse here than real life.

Terrifies me. But I'm used to it.

And I know that one of two things will happen: Peter will kick his ass, or I'll find Alpha and tear him to shreds.

But he doesn't really have him, does he.

Tell me where you are, I'll come to you. I'm in the room they assigned to me, trying to make a new suit.

I remember dying. I guess I got better and apparently told everyone who I am. But all I remember is being inside this cocoon and having some freaky giant tarantula thing tell me it wasn't my time before I ... hatched or some stupid thing like that. One second I'm trying to find clothes in a dumpster, the next, I'm getting my butt shoved out of the library.
