Dear Asaph (or whoever else left the Christmas tree for me and can answer this),

Thank you very much for the Christmas tree. It's very nice and very, very pretty. But considering Christmas really isn't supposed to be about a big guy in a red suit with pet reindeer breaking into my house to leave me things, I just wanted to make sure it was okay with you if I donated the tree to the local homeless shelter. I think they would like it even more than me.

If I can't do that, may I at least get money for some of the ornaments that aren't even ornaments at all, but are just pieces of expensive jewellery hanging on branches and donate it to them?

I won't, if it'll make you mad or hurt your feelings, and I really won't if it'll make you want to have bad things happen to the people here. But if it's okay, I think I'd really like to do that instead of just keeping it. They need it more than I do.
