Where am I? Last thing I remember is being shot. Who is reading this? Gwen? Jack? Rex? Is this a Torchwood thing? Some sort of official initiation? I'd love to be filled in on what I apparently missed first.

Sorry, who're you? Nobody we don't know should know much about Torchwood besides the name flying around town. Who the hell is Rex?

Generally, I think remembering being shot indicates you might've been kinda dead, or seriously injured, or not-quite-dead-yet if you're a Python fan.

Honestly, I don't know who you are or anyone else named Esther for that matter. I haven't even been to China in decades. Gwen has talked a little about a 'Miracle', so it sounds like you might be from the same place as her. She can explain more when she gets to you.
