I must admit, I am truly amazed at how civil you mortals seem to keep yourselves. Those were trying times. I expected complete chaos and far more bloodshed. Perhaps those of the lower realms have come far from their days as worshiping us as gods.

You. Are you working with the Collector? Is this your idea?

I assure you, I do not work with our captor. Why would I?

And it would seem you know of me more than I know of you.

Why do you ever do anything?

Oh, it's these alternate timelines again, isn't it? You tried to manipulate us to get yourself more power.

It is usually cleaning up after my dear brother or keeping him alive.

Why would I do that? Surely there was a reason. Nothing I do is without reason, in any timestream.

I doubt it was out of the goodness of your heart, if you even have one. You gave Ororo a hammer to restore her weather powers and said something about "ruling Asgard by your side." I don't know if the rest of us were just a bonus while you tried to get her. The time before that, you gave "gifts" and tried to force people to accept them, and some beings called "We Who Live Above in Shadow" gave you a righteous smackdown for it. Apparently you were trying to win something from them.

I assure you, I do not even know an Ororo.

Good. Hopefully you never will in your world, so you can't try to trick her.

I cannot speak for this version of me that you seem to know so well, but I do not see a reason as to why I would even attempt such a thing. Power like that does not interest me.

I've only met you twice, and that was more than enough. We didn't exactly have a conversation, so I don't know much more about your motives than what I overheard.

Yeah, we'll see if this version of you is actually any different.

It is rather harsh to judge a man by another with his name, isn't it?

When the name is "Loki"? You tried to make my dad take your "gifts". I'd imagine the core of someone is still the same regardless of the timeline.

Okay. I had a think.

You're right. Can't believe it but It's not fair to judge you by what your other self did. I doubt I'll ever like you, but I can try not to judge.

[rp bendy time, if you're interested?]

We're an impressive bunch, aren't we? You would be amazed by what can adapt to. This isn't the worse thing that we've ever dealt with. We simply wish to function with our lives. Adding even more chaos and violence would make that difficult.

I expected you all to turn on yourselves.

History is filled with people turning on each other for less but perhaps you underestimate us. You may have notice the large number of heroes and champions, as well as individuals too stubborn to follow the norm. This isn't a city of people who believe in following along with the expected. Especially when what is expected is the worse of them.

The last I saw of the moral race on Earth was when men on boats would pillage and plunder villages, and then rape the women. In some ways, this hasn't changed for you.

No, it hasn't. However, that should not over shadow the good that people are capable of. That people have done. Violence seems to be synonymous with humankind but charity and unconditional love - while at times appearing to verging on nonexistence - are a part of our nature as well.

Such duality. How can you even coexist with each other, I wonder.

I am certain, I wouldn't be wrong in assuming, that many of us wonder much the same. We hate and love, we destroy and we protect. In my ex Oftentimes the same person, creed, or lifestyle. It doesn I suppose as with most matters in life the key is finding balance.

Or the complete dedication to one side and an ideal. Sometimes, Lady Morganna, there is no peace or balance.
