Fascinating. Here I thought this was just a dream in a sea of thoughts that didn't make any sense.

Oh. Right. The Ferris Wheel incident.

I'm not going to get a lecture, am I?

Not unless your father shows up again. Or Peter got sent home, comes back, and decides to lay into you.

Good. I mean, I don't want a lecture from my dad or Peter either but I was hoping that maybe you would at least understand why I did it. Not that I'm saying it was a good idea but... I don't think I'd do it any differently even if I could.

Also? I missed you. A lot. Totally obsolete request since you have no control over it but don't leave again, okay?

I did. I do. And I was prepared for the consequences. At least with the whole world knowing, we can't be exploited in secret anymore.

I missed you, too. Well, obviously not as much since I didn't get to see you, but I missed not having to suffer stabbing and shapeshifting in order to have a chat.

Exactly.

Aww but you were so good at being a girl!

What can I say? I should have been an actor.

Or a conman. I'd make a remarkable conman.

You are definitely a man of many talents.

So. When are you going to come by and see my kids?

Oh. Oh, wow. How long have I been gone? They were just barely squirmy bundles last I remember.

It's been a while. They'll be six months old in eleven days.

... and I just realized I have officially become one of those parents who literally knows the exact age of their kids. This is a sad, sad day for self-involved former cheerleaders the world over.

I would rather think it's a bright day for emotional maturation.
