finally vicki brings in her second~
Hi all! It's Vicki, puppetmistress of Midha (cloudgazer) with my second character FINALLY. Now you can stop hearing me babble cryptically about theoretical mystery character~

This is Sorin Ghrian, a 25-year-old Warrior/Guardian city elf who is a happy, optimistic sort of person. He prefers to always look on the bright side of life when possible. He used to be a dockworker for a short while until he was caught in the middle of a skirmish when he was 19 years old, and partially due to systematic racism when the parties involved were getting their injuries treated, he lost right arm from just below the elbow. So he kind of doesn't work on the docks any longer, not because anyone thinks the skirmish is his fault because it 1000% wasn't, but because, well, people are dicks about hiring people with disabilities, especially if they're minorities, lbr. :(

But! He does work for a local fashion store, Brouillard's Clothiers, whose owner is charitable to elves and where he discovered his inner fashion passion. He also trains in the sword and shield on the down-low with his friend, Nikolas Caelestis, who is also a dockworker and has a vaguely Orlesian accent, hm~. Sorin is also better educated than you might expect despite the lack to a decent education: one of his mothers works for a local noble (unspecified in case someone wants to claim her as one of their servants~) and so she taught him how to read and write, and the other is an entertainer/waitress in the Alienage tavern and she taught him how to sing, dance, and play the piano and flute (though he doesn't play the flute anymore). But don't ask him about more complicated things, like politics. Everything he knows is rumors and hearsay and he's kind of naive about Life besides. ;;;

Possible Lines (definitely not a limiting list!!): Elves from all walks of life (he has such a romanticized view of the Dalish, guys, destroy that or reinforce that at your whim~)! Customers at Brouillard's (mostly serves wealthier clientele admittedly)! People who frequent taverns and pubs who have no problems serving elves (Sorin hates alcohol but he likes the multiracial camaraderie to be found at these places)! Other fashion lovers to share in his passion! Men to flirt at him and see him just stop knowing how to function! Orlesians, especially who are/were Chevaliers, especially nobility, especially those who are from or have connections to Val Chevin, or people who might know things you can know something Sorin doesn't know about Nikolas, I'll email you for deets~ ANYTHING, ALL THE THINGS!

lmao yes yay these things are perfect. :3 only thing I possibly got is maybe have Audra work for Isolde but that still doesn't directly connect Isolde to Sorin anyway so back to square one, ahahaha idek BUT DEFINITELY SORIN WITH YOUR OTHER TWO, WE WILL LOG THESE THINGS WHEN YOU ARE BACK FROM VACATION Y/Y???????

Well, I mean, we've talked Sorin and Noe-the-customer. She also knows Nikolas, though she wouldn't realize it as she's never met him. Whoops. Much plottiness has already occurred behind the scenes here....

Cas.... I wouldn't even know how to connect but! He'd be very nice to you, Sorin. Cas is my egalitarian.

Narazda has more important shit to do, as usual. Though if Sorin jumps ship and goes to work for reha.....................

yasssssss, for the Sorin and Noe connect!! idk if Noe has any interest at all in the Grey Warden tourney as a spectator, but as we discussed Nikolas will make a showing there. (Also he's going to be none too pleased at Sorin for volunteering to help with the demon quest ahahahaha whoops~) Otherwise, plottiness, yassssssss LET US TORTURE THE BB AS WE DO

I'm sure we'll get Cas and Sorin interacting at some point! Sorin's often around the city, but yay he'd like Cas, and he loves knowing individuals who are proof that Not All Humans Are Dicks to Elves. ^_^

lmao, oh Narazda, maybe when I get around to playing a temp PC I'll finally have someone she can have a positive connect with XDDDDDD IN THE MEANTIME, yes, if Sorin and Reha do become friends and she offers him a job, it's possible~~~~~~~

She may go to the tourney... just to scope it out. She may see Nikolas, be like, "wait what is this guy doing here" then think no more about it until ~later~ when Sorin comes to her for info. PLOTTINESS.

Cas was raised in the egalitarian-ish Circle and then went to the egalitarian Wardens. He Does Not Get why people are dicks to elves.

	Woo! Aeren has some mild interest in the Dalish--mainly in their pantheon, because lol, the Maker and Andraste never did shit for her. It's a very vague "Um, hey, Creators, I hope you're okay with blood sacrifice and taking things from shems to give to elves" sort of thing. She will be confused by his cheerfulness, lol. Sorin will want to be her friend~~~~~~~. ;D Because city elf life. He's seen bitterness among elves before (he knows he's the odd one out among those in the Cumberland Alienage) but why focus on the bad when there's so much good to be celebrated, or so he thinks, but he probably wouldn't be initially put off by her. Their dynamic could be super interesting for sure!!!

Sorin himself is Andrastian but puts more stock and faith in Andraste than the Maker, and has a fascination with the Dalish pantheon but isn't quite sure himself his stance on it. He knows the Chantry's stance on the Creators but he can't bring himself to believe that the elves are wrong. Maybe both are right??? He's not sure, but chooses Andraste until he has reason not to. We'll see if anything happens that gives him reason not to tbh!!

Pilar has probably bought stuff from him before. If he's able to learn other people's tastes, she's willing to save time from him knowing her.

Asmund does not buy fancy clothes, but he'll drink with anyone (who is not darkspawn... that has never come up XD). He may flirt.

Sabrina... has strong opinions on fashion. She may visit his place, but she's hit it off with the other clothes place person.

Inge does not like his shiny personality. Like what, be smart. Not naive.

Sorin definitely pays attention to regulars, so if Pilar is one, then he'll know her tastes and can help her accordingly!

If Asmund flirts, yeah, Sorin will completely malfunction. He is attracted to men pretty exclusively which is why he's such a mess at flirting with them or knowing how to react when they flirt with him. So it could be a lulzy time all around~. He himself doesn't drink alcohol but he'll go to the taverns for non-alcoholic drinks (most commonly water, because free/cheapest thing), so we can toss them together there! Otherwise, Sorin will be at the Grey Warden tourney because Reasons (not competing or volunteering himself) so he can watch Asmund's match against Cas!!

Ahahaha, fair enough Sabrina~ and I think Reha and Sorin will be becoming friendly with each other at some point so at the very least we can connect that way once that happens?? He might be wary about the whole "mage from Tevinter" thing because Rumors, but Sabrina could easily win him over with fashion talk and as long as she's not racist at him, he'll like her plenty and see her as proof that See Even Tevinters Aren't That Bad (which, you know, lulz????)

XDDDDDDDDDD work smarter not harder, a life lesson Sorin needs so badly tbh!!!!!

Bahaha. Well, if you think it'd be funnier for them to meet post-tourney I am all for massive whaaaaaaat and such. We can always start writing early. He won't think less of ya for not drinking alcohol. Asmund is such a sweetheart. He's very easy to just... buy someone a drink, make sure they get home safe, etc etc.

Ha, yes. I mean, Sabrina can be... thoughtlessly racist? But like, she doesn't go stomp on people for the sake of it. She's neutral evil, so she has to get something out of it. And she's good with acting noice and stuff as a default. Also she <3s Ilshae a bit XD But him working on clothes, just like... that's what all the elves she knows back home do. So why even blink.

Inge could always work him as a contact to learn about others? But honestly, it's not her job to make him smarter >> Also she gonna die bc npc.

I'm down for either thing!! If we do the tourney thing, we can definitely prelog it. Or we can do something prior to the tournament and then also do a mini thing at the tourney??? Idk I am open to all things so lmk!!

I don't know if Sorin has anything really to offer Sabrina one way or another because well city elves be slumming and such. But fashion is an easy way to connect to him and she can definitely mess with his sense of trust, too, kekekekeke. As mentioned, he prefers to see the good in everything and everyone, because yeah everyone has their flaws and their reasons for why they might be the way they are. So I think chances are good he'll like her ^_^

He could do that! I mean rich people are the clientele he interacts with, and sometimes even in the ghetto there are rumors and gossip that might be useful. Depending on how Inge phrases the questions she can get the info; he won't willingly or knowingly betray information, but being a guileless sort he can be tricked?? Because wise to the way of politics, and he is not. ;;;;;
