12/2 A Messy Business

With several Crow failures in recent months, it’s up to Idril to prove the assassins’ legendary reputation isn’t all talk. And she does indeed manage to get to King Markus Pentaghast, but in the ensuing tussle, the wrong royal ends up dead. While the assassin manages to escape the palace, it seems that she doesn’t clean up quite as well as she’d prefer - and there’s a witness left alive.

12/5 The Supply Side

WWar is coming… and it’s bringing mages with it. Anticipating higher demand for lyrium, Sandrin Tethras writes about a convoy to buy more lyrium from Orzammar. He assigns Oswulf Tranador and Rook Rinnel to represent the Guild. Souvelani Alerion and Rosalind Margrace volunteer to provide additional muscle. They take a ship to Jader, hike into the mountains, and travel down into Orzammar to purchase the lyrium. On the way down, they run into everyone’s favorite cave dwellers - deepstalkers. Then it’s a friendly couple days in the city itself and a much heavier (and more fragile) trip back. This quest will run from 6 - 27 Haring.

12/8 This Ain’t A Scene, It’s Blood Magic

While most of Cumberland celebrates the engagement of Prince Aurelian Pentaghast and Duchess Aurore Valmont in good cheer, there is someone who lurks in the shadows and is less than pleased. After their attempt on Duchess Aurore Valmont’s life is thwarted, the Blood Mage has decided to try a different tactic. It all comes to a head in the market when their spell falters. Pilar Pentaghast, Una Blackwood, and Iveani Ralaferin hear the commotion and come face to face with the Blood Mage, intent on stopping them for good.

12/16 A Somber Affair

The city comes together to mourn the tragic events of the last several weeks. But even as crowds gather at the Necropolis, the witness to the royal murder makes his move at last...

12/20 Too Quiet on the Western Front

Warden Commander Frieda Ortan receives news from the front, stating that the Warden outpost at Caimen Brea has gone silent. With the promised Tevene troops arriving slowly, the Wardens holding the front can’t afford to send anyone up the river, but the matter requires resolution. Midha Aenoch, Caspian Pentaghast, Bastien Montbelliard, Takwana Nandoro, and Ilshae Alerion volunteer to travel to the border to get to the bottom of the matter - and what they find may change everything. This quest will run from 20 - 30 Haring.

Cumberland celebrated the feast day of Satinalia with good cheer and, for a change, relative peace. That peace was short-lived, however, as shortly after the holiday, Vathra attempted to assassinate Ambassador Manon de Freyen. Unfortunately for the Crow, this did not go well, resulting in capture and death. Sergio Cortes requested that Idril and Cassidy investigate their colleague’s disappearance. Meanwhile, Ambassador Manon de Freyen used this as an opportunity to suggest that Duchess Aurore Valmont relocate to the palace for her own safety, conveniently bringing her closer to Prince Aurelian Pentaghast. This tactic paid off, as the negotiators made a breakthrough and the engagement was announced. This new development appeared to displease the mysterious blood mage still at large, however - Duchess Aurore Valmont found herself dangerously ensorcelled, and only a timely intervention from Ambassador Octavius Alexius saved her life.

Not everyone spent the month focused on politics, of course. The troubles in Lienz continued, with the Chantry eventually calling for champions to do battle against a dragon. Fortunately, the volunteers were victorious and the village was saved. With the city enjoying peace and prosperity - and with news of the royal engagement sparking conversation, a variety of other rumors circulated as well, with many finding themselves the subjects of speculation.

plot pc requests

There are no plot PCs required this month as the majority of the plot for December will center around the fallout from the events of the first two weeks. Additionally, we know lots of people have travel and other obligations this time of year. You will see the next plot PC slots open up in January, after the holidays.
announcements

  • For the plot events that require a limited number of PCs, such the This Ain’t A Scene, It’s Blood Magic, sign-ups are located below. The mods will dropbox or e-mail you relevant information in advance so you can log out your plot
