Welp.

HELLO FINE PEOPLE, IT IS I WILL, ARRIVING LATE AT THE PARTY, AS USUAL.

I bring you the second Blood Mage of the game, Astraea, no last name, she's like Cher, or Madonna. Astra here was raised by her mother Eos in the privacy of the woods of the Free Marches, where she learned all about being her own person and not shying away from liquefying her foes. A 100% true Apostate, homegirl has never seen the inside of a Circle and overall thinks that almost all mages are fools and that magic is just a tool to be used. Demons? Perish the thought, she's her own person, she's hella powerful and Blood Magic is the one true magic, because fuck the Fade, amirite?

This is gonna be great, you guys.

Astraea has been in Nevarra for a little over a year now. She has connections with the Carta, who uses her for assassinations that they don't want to look a lot like such. Or when they want to leave only a puddle of blood, she's versatile like that. Her "day job" is that of a fortune teller, which is profitable enough but where's the fun on that? She has a lifetime of experience on giving the templars the slip, but she'll be joining the Grey Wardens eventually. Soon. I don't know, she's kind of loud and too comfortable with herself for her own good.

ANYWAY I NEED ALL THE LINES??? CLIENTS, ASSOCIATES, FRIENDS, ENEMIES, FWB, THE WORKS. She values strength and confidence, so even if she doesn't like someone she can respect them, just like she does her mom.

AND I'M SO SLEEPY SO SEE YOU IN SIX HOURS. Will out.

There's been a few mentions of the Carta having a mage contact that makes little blood-activated talismans that eat through/neutralize magical wards/glyphs.etc. Astraea could be the maker of these????? In any case...

Noëlle (

poignards) occasionally does some work with the Carta, though she's definitely not affiliated. Would consider fortune telling utter nonsense but would purchase the above mentioned talismans to break into places FOR SURE. Not a blood magic fan as she's reasonably Andrastian despite assassinating people somewhat regularly. But...... business contact???? Use what you can, etc.

Caspian (

unfavored) will probably not have anything with her until she goes Warden, though we can intro them prior to that???

Lev (

liberare) would proooooooooobably try to kill her if she blood magicked in front of him because #trauma so maybe we should.... keep them apart....... ALTHOUGH HE IS ALMOST CERTAINLY A BITCH ON HER LEVEL.

And finally, Raziya (

seasense) is glad to volunteer as FWB and/or anything else you like, Astraea~ Her view of magic is super relaxed anyway, since she's from Rivain. Her mother does purposeful demon possession twice before breakfast so, eh, she's seen it, it doesn't bother her.

YES I LIKE IT. Not really her hands-on style but it helps the businesses.

Noëlle.- Astra isn't really affiliated either, not all the way at least. And Astraea thinks it's rubbish, but people keep coming so. Yes let's be business contacts, never hurts to have some variety on your roll call.

Caspian.- They should meet! It could actually work as a way to learn some more of the Grey Wardens.

Lev.- WHY MUST YOU TEMPT ME. Maybe we can have them fight and get interrupted at some point? For funsies.

Raziya.- Yesss FWB, chicks dig ships. She needs to recruit Astra into some piracy and what not, too.

I KNOW I AM SORRY but now at least I know I won't vanish.

Hihi~ I'm Vicki and I have my three:

Midha (

cloudgazer) is probably the most relevant. She hasn't run with the Carta for almost a decade now and in fact recently made it a Strong Point she wants nothing to do with them anymore. That won't stop her from associating with Carta types necessarily, as long as she's fairly certain they won't try to kill her. So idk if Carta is necessarily a good tie BUT if Astraea's going to be a Grey Warden, then I have this lady dwarf for you! (she won't be fussed about the blood magic tbh, though she IS superstitious so the fortune telling could add an interesting dynamic~) Possible FWB??? We can see how they mesh together?

Sorin (

sunnyelf) wouldn't seek out fortune telling since unlike Midha he is NOT superstitious, and the blood magic ahahahaha oh boy, he. Wouldn't like that. At all. He's Andrastian and his boyfriend(s) (eventually will be plural, right now it is singular, it's complicated XD) are from Tevinter and have Issues and Traumas with blood magic PLUS he's a squishy marshmallow so... ;;;;;; BUT! If Astraea goes shopping for clothes at Reha's store, he's just been hired as a manager there, so maybe?

Alia (

stetistis), not really sure either. She might seek out the fortune-telling just Because and really would be interesting in buying things if it'll piss off her mother? Because lbr it would piss off her mother SO MUCH. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut the blood magic will turn her off completely because she's Andrastian, and while heretical literature interests her (sometimes even tickles her), she uh. No to blood magic. ;;;;;;;;

Midha.- Astra would put her doubts to rest quickly enough, since her affiliations to the Carta are out of mutual convenience, not so much loyalty or active membership. Also hellooo sexy lady, Astra loves them of all sizes and races, as long as they've got spunk. Or at least she can be a regular to her fortune telling biz.

Sorin.- LMAO is it bad that I want to throw her at all the people that would go berserk on her? LET HER TELL YOU HOW COOL IS BLOOD MAGIC, people need to understand that not all mages are suckers for demons, or at least just not her.

Alia.- If she wants to piss her family off, Astra could probably help. And unless they are stuck on a fight or something she won't show her magic, promise.

Not sure if Midha is quite that superstitious to be a regular, she'll probably go to see her as a fortune teller maybe once or twice just to see what it's all about, but at least the Carta won't be an issue between them, then. :D And yes, we can see about fwb then since lol, Midha's got your spunk. If nothing else, there's always the Wardens too~ (Forgot to mention, but if Midha's not Wardening she's usually drinking and gambling at whatever random pub, so that's probably another connect!)

tbh Sorin wouldn't necessarily go berserk on her, most likely he'll just go from friendly cheerful ^_^ to cold >:| in under a second the instant he finds out she's a blood mage. Which could be interesting??? I doubt he'd ever learn to like her if she reveals herself to him, but he could use more antagonistic lines? XD Though if we connect these two, we'll just have to be careful, because Lev is kind of a Very Important part of his life (and one of the top reasons he'd probably never warm up to her post-revelation). XDDDDDD;;;;

Haha, mostly it's just her parents she wants to piss off since she likes her extended family well enough, but yessssss. And depending on how Astra's and Cas's CR goes once she joins the Wardens, that could add an interesting layer too?

Pilar Pentaghast {

deathward} is not terribly fond of the Carta, though she does understand having options for lyrium for the Circle. But it has to be quality guys (there was an issue once). But she doesn't terribly deal with the Carta herself. She does go out and about the populace though. She disapproves of assassinations broadly, whether using blood magic or not. So grumpyface court advisor over here.

Admund Astyth {

intentioned} is a Grey Warden! So there will be plot. He thinks the Grey Wardens are the bomb, most awesome thing ever. I expect Astraea will not hold the same opinion, not having had to follow rules and such before. But he will welcome her once she's a warden. He's definitely strong and confident.

Sabrina Esposito {

somniari} is the other blood mage. She will judge Astraea's work more based on the quality of the technique used than any moral grounds. But if you read the plot calendar she's not much for this world, and she's quickly becoming unbalanced, bitter, and angry. If you wanna do any double blood mage things, really should be this week XD

Marin Voclain {

pseudonyme} is a chevalier with so much drama going down. I mean, assassinations are a thing. He's done them aplenty. And he's had to make a new life for himself (not that anyone knows that right now), so if they got along in any way, he'd be able to offer some advice/support for that. And while he greatly dislikes the idea of blood magic being used against him, he considers it one skill useful to things but not the only one. So whatever. If he's feeling tickled, he might come to fortune telling, but he doesn't put much stock in it.

Souvelani Alerion {

naturalone} is a Dalish elf newly moved to the city. She did help kill the carta members who were involved in slavery. And really, if that's where Astraea goes with her inclinations/past activities, she'd be right with Lev on killing her. But otherwise, less bothered by it?

I also have to Plot PCs right now, Sandrin Tethras, head of the Merchant's Guild, and Aurore Valmont, duchess from Orlais. Sandrin put a bounty on Agrevain when he had the previous head of MG assassinated and was involved in killing him himself. And put the city on no lyrium at the time, which woulda affected her. Aurore just showed up. XD

Pilar.- Hmmmmmmm well they might be set up to dislike each other in the future, lol.

Admund.- Lmao Astraea isn't really going to love it, no. Mainly the fighty bits, but she's not one to be all buddy buddy or even enjoy belonging to a large group. Desperate times. But she can respect him!

CHILD, CHILD WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? I seriously need these two to meet, before Sabrina croaks, if only to have Astra shake her by the shoulders. SO LET'S DO THE THING ASAP.

Marin.- Incidentally enough, Astraea tries to use the dominating aspect of her magic as little as possible, because she feels is a lot like cowardice. Doesn't mean she won't use it, but for the most part she prefers to hurt people herself. Which doesn't really paint her in any better light... but hey, fortune telling, amirite?

Souvelani.- Nah, Astra is 100% employed to get people dead, and she's probably glad those Carta members are dead anyway.

Well, going hand in hand with Astraea's strong independent streak I figure she rarely if ever uses lyrium, so that wouldn't have bothered her much. Still, that's a person to keep on her sights.

Look Astraea, you can't be a buttmunch to everyone everywhere all the time. And you may also not have a choice on the matter of Asmund's friendship. And being buddy buddy. So :P

Uuuuh, Sabrina is WONDERFUL and amazing at everything, tyvm. It's not her fault her father is AAAAAWFUL* (this opinion to come shortly). But lol, yes they must do the thing shortly. Tho Sabrina plays her ideas close to the chest.

It may be cowardice, but dying so as not to be a coward, while a chevalier principle, is something Marin doesn't believe he believes in. Boy oh boy, he has such cognitive dissonance with himself and then only causes himself further trouble because he does things he unknowingly disapproves of. Honestly, he's probably the one most likely to get along with her.

Haha okay. Cool. Souvelani knows a lot about non-city places. But she does feel a bit strange about assassinations as an occupation. People fight and kill each other sure, but usually it's a fair shake. But she's not as terribly fussed as some people in game are.

I mean, both blood and lyrium cause their own kinds of dependence (Sabrina is being way too smug and judgmental in my head, gaaawd, she is such a shit sometimes). But yeah, he's a public figure well enough after all that XD

minarchist) is a package deal with maaya's lev, and would similarly try to kill her if they met ;kjs;ksjk;s because oops, his dad was a blood mage and his sister is one now, #trauma!!!! add in the fact that his family psychologically damaged him because he wasn't born a mage, aaaaand well, no fluffy feelings for mages. not one.

idril (

suledin), also of one-name fame, is a crow currently in town for some months to assassinate the king (which is going SO WELL), but she spends a lot of her time being sassy, putzing around, taking out other contracts. could offer her as a fwb thing if astra swings that way, siiiiince i feel their personalities would jive best of all of mine. OR FRIEND THINGS. IDK, she is bad at friendship.

CIRCLE MAGES AMIRITE, they're such sheep. It all depends on how Rosalind would take to her blood magic, really, but Astraea kind of assumes everyone's going to give her the stinky eye.
