Embassy Ball Plotting Post
As the Orlesian Ambassador announced here, there's a shindig going down at the Orlesian Embassy this Sunday! This plotting post is going up early to give you an opportunity to decide what you'd like to do and pre-log if so desired!

As Manon stated, the ball is open to anyone, though if you show up looking very scruffy, you'll get some Looks, so do try to look your best, please~
Weapons will be checked at the door.
Most of the doors will be locked, but the guests will have access to the ballroom, its balconies, and the gardens if they so desire. Anyone who wanders off down the hallways will eventually be found and politely escorted back to the party.
Duchess Aurore Valmont is the guest of honor! This is an opportunity for her to take Cumberland's measure.
A small chamber ensemble will provide music for dancing, for those so inclined.
The food will be set out buffet style and replenished at regular intervals. Expect all manner of Orlesian oddities, and of course, a truly impressive dessert table. They're Orlesians, after all.

Noëlle is here WITH BELLS ON. (Okay, actually, she's going to wear a dress without bells. Which I am told by Beth looks like this. Reha didn't put bells on her dress.) These are her people. Also, she'd quite like to catch up with her former classmate, thank you. She'll also be convincing Bastien to play along with a little scene in hopes of drawing out whoever has been playing her. Will be dancing and socializing!

Caspian doesn't even bother trying to talk the commander out of sending him - he just goes. And okay, he's a little curious about this obvious marriage prospect for Aurelian, since they've reconnected. And just maybe he wants to catch a glimpse of Alia. He's a wallflower in Warden armor. But he will probably eat a lot because #wardenlife.

Raziya is going! She met the duchess on the journey over, since she's the one who transported her~ She rather likes her, even if she didn't manage to get her out of her dress OH WELL. Also, free food and drink? Duh, she is there. Probably wearing some sort of crazy colorful Rivaini ensemble and with her hair huge and fabulous as always.

Lev wouldn't be caught dead at this thing, sorry. He's going drinking with Godric at the docks instead.

Pilar is here, with a fabulous appearance mixing mostly black with gold embroidery to add some color, but with various lighting, you see some other autumn hues. She will be socializing around with various people, especially some of those more her age. She will not be dancing very much, but she'll talk with most people.

Asmund came for Caspian's sake, will probably hang around him (and any other wardens) mostly... and the food table. He will eat a great deal off of the various tables. Possibly talk some with Alia since he knows her too.

Sabrina is here as part of the delegation, and she is NOT PLEASED AT ALL with the timing. She will spend as much time as she can dancing, though she'll storm off to a balcony after dancing with Olivier. If she can force you to dance against your will and you're good, she will probably try to do so.

Marin has come looking splendid. He brought Noëlle on his arm, and he will enjoy catching up with anyone he can.

Aurore is the guest of honor. She will, of course, check in with her Orlesian friends and allies, as well as with many of the Nevarrans, such as Aurelian himself. And she will be friendly with anyone from Tevinter who would like to speak with her.

Sandrin and Reha are coming together, wonderfully dressed. He is happy to speak with most people and will be polite to all parties present. He's having a good time, representing the guild and wooing Ms. Melra.

Souvelani will pass on coming. She does not have anything close to appropriate to wear. And she doubts her daughter would like it if she came.

Alia is there obviously, dressed in her best, etc. All the socializing, dancing, spurning possible suitors (male, because lmao she doesn't know what's being plotted in her general direction XD), finding subtle and not-so-subtle ways to irritate the crap out of her mother, you know, the usual~

Sorin is also there because he is not missing this kind of even gdi. Date-less, because his boyfriend doesn't want to go, which, you know, for good reason. XD Will also be socializing, dancing with any lady who asks him, and mostly just going googly-eyed at all the pretty fashions and trying not to miss said boyfriend too much. And yes, he will be dressed in his finest. He'll probably be one of the best dressed non-servant elves there, lbr.

Midha will probably be there if the Warden Commander gives her the same ultimatum as last time tbh. If she's there, she'll be eating up all your food kthnxbai. Also playing wallflower in Warden armor, but that's mostly because she cannot with crowds. No dancing go away just let her eat.

kuvira is there in her fancier robes, hell no to a dress. idk what she'll be doing, but she'll be there talking to people, spying on her mages (jk. ... not jk.)

rosalind be there, duh. she's going to do a dumb thing and then try to flee to ball later, welp, but TIL THEN. in something to the effect of this with a liiiiittle less beading, and hair. SHE NORMALLY WEARS PASTELS, but you have to dress up for an orlesian ball okay. when will angie not dress her girls in eli saab? never.
