9/5 Chantry Board - Investigate the RaidersThere are reports of raiding in villages less than a day north of the city. Assuming it's bandits, Sorin Ghrian, Iveani Ralaferin, and Ilshae Alerion offer to deal with them. Unfortunately, instead of bandits, they encounter Souvelani Alerion, who tells them the raiding is a response to several ignored petitions to the king... 9/10 Dalish Demands The Dalish arrive and set up camp near the city's north gate. The Keeper of Clan Alerion is convinced that Tevinter slavers have absconded with five young hunters from the clan. They threatens that the raids will continue until such time as the young people are returned. Although Magister Alexius disavows any knowledge of these slavers, the Dalish refuse to believe in his innocence. 9/15 Ogre Hunting Unfortunately, the Dalish are not Nevarra's only trouble. Warden Commander Frieda Ortan receives word of darkspawn attacks less than a week away, in an area where no darkspawn have previously appeared. Asmund Astyth, Caspian Pentaghast, and Midha Aenoch offer to investigate. Unfortunately, upon arrival in the area, they realize that there has been a breakthrough from the Deep Roads in one of the nearby cave systems, and something far more ominous than a few hurlocks awaits. 9/18 The King's Proclamation The Dalish situation continues to deteriorate, and King Markus Pentaghast has no choice but to threaten to remove the clan by force if they do not willingly depart within the week. Perhaps due to sympathy for the Dalish cause, or perhaps for reasons of their own, Godric Tagaris and Noëlle d'Orly separately decide to break into the Tevinter Embassy to see if they can find something that can be used to defuse the situation. 9/21 Rescue at the Docks Armed with new information, the Dalish Elves and any interested Dalish Sympathizers stage a dramatic and bloody rescue in the nick of time. Once the young hunters are confirmed safe, the clan at last agrees to leave the city. 9/28 Coitus Interruptus After a disturbance at a high end brothel is reported to Simon Dunstan, the templar arrives to find demons in the street, led by a very unexpected mage. Despite the templar’s best efforts, the violence spills into the neighboring streets, involving many people. |
At the very start of the month, All Souls Day was celebrated by Nevarrans and foreigners alike, although not everyone embraced the odd Nevarran customs that accompanied the festivities. Shortly after the holiday, a variety of rumors, each more ridiculous than the last, caused quite an uproar. Mid-month, Cassidy succeeded in his assassination of Narazda Tethras, throwing the city into chaos. Sandrin Tethras declared an embargo on lyrium until such time as someone brought him proof of the death of Agrevain Berith. Although Godric Tagaris and Lev Tagaris succeeded in finding the Carta leader, their attempt ended in failure as Inge Tiras gave her life to cover her leader’s escape. With tensions running high, Isolde Van Markham’s report of odd behavior on the part of Iveani Ralaferin led to Simon Dunstan questioning her, although he found nothing of note. Fortunately, Sandrin Tethras finally got wind of Agrevain Berith’s hiding place. Accompanied by Rook Rinnel, Midha Aenoch, and Caspian Pentaghast, the Merchants’ Guild leader infiltrated the hideout and slew the Carta head. As promised, peace and trade were restored, although not everyone was entirely happy with the Guild’s way of handling of the matter. 25th - Olivier Castillo (46) The Chantry Board plot event and the events that follow it require members of Clan Alerion of the Dalish Elves.
