8/1 All Soul’s DayThis holiday, meant to honor the souls of the departed and remember the Prophet Andraste’s death, is one of the grandest events that Cumberland sees all year. The Mortalitasi are particularly involved with the day’s festivities, but everyone can get in on the celebration. 8/6 Rumor Mill Cumberland is full of all sorts of people, and people like to talk… There’s an unusually creative range of rumors going around about a variety of the city’s citizens, and it seems no one is safe… (don't forget to sign up to participate here). 8/14 A Tipping Point Fed up with constantly increasing pressure from the Merchants’ Guild, the Carta retaliates. In the wake of their actions, the Merchants’ Guild calls for a full embargo on lyrium imports to Cumberland until Agrevain Berith is hunted down and executed for his crimes. A large reward is offered. A first attempt is made by Godric Tagaris and Lev Tagaris, but they are gravely injured while their target escapes unharmed and goes to ground. 8/22 Cumberland CSI Perhaps due to the unrest in the city, people are unusually jumpy. Isolde Van Markham notices Iveani Ralaferin behaving very oddly, and goes to Simon Dunstan with their concern. As it is suspected that the maleficar who killed Alexandre Desrosiers is still at large, the Templars investigate. They are, perhaps, a bit more forceful about it than they might otherwise have been due to lyrium deprivation. 8/27 The Manhunt Concludes Sandrin Tethras gets a lead on the location of Agrevain Berith. With an eye on the reward, or perhaps simply a wish for peace to be restored, he recruits Midha Aenoch, Rook Rinnel, and Caspian Pentaghast’s assistance. Together, they infiltrate the Carta’s lair and finally take out Agrevain Berith, with injuries and casualties on both sides. In the coming days, trade is restored. |
With the political leaders well-protected, The Crows received a commission which led to a race to eliminate a particularly notorious target. Meanwhile, Knight-Commander Louchart dispatched a group of volunteers to investigate rumors of a demon near the North Gate. The volunteers found the demon, along with the exsanguinated body of Alexandre Desrosiers, the missing Orlesian. In the wake of the recovery of her aide’s body, Marquise de Freyen extended an invitation for a clandestine meeting to Magister Alexius. Sabrina Esposito managed to eavesdrop on part of their conversation and drew her own conclusions. In hopes of raising recruitment, Warden Commander Ortan hosted a tourney, which was very well attended. Prince Aurelian pled his case once again, but she would not permit him to join the Order. Others, however, received invitations, and many volunteers have headed to the outpost over the course of the month. Finally, a bad lyrium shipment distributed by the Carta wreaked havoc with the city’s mages and templars, forcing Oswulf Tranador to recruit help in cleaning up the mess. 2nd - Idril (32) 19th - Reha Melra (20) The Tipping Point plot event and the events that follow it will mark the completion of the story arc that requires members of the Merchants' Guild and Carta. We could definitely use a few more. If you’re interested in participating in the battle events but your PC character has no reason to get involved, consider doing so with a temp PC that may not survive the encounter. Remember that temp PCs are your chance to play a plot character. These characters are not subject to AC, do not count against your character limit, are not subject to class/specialization caps, and are meant to last a short time.
