I want to make sure you won't fade away [wow another one...]
Who: Cloud (deliveryboy) and Soldier Blue (dream_of_terra).
What: Cloud checking up on Blue, just because he's worried about his condition.
When: Sometime during the night, after his last post, when everybody is supposed to be sleeping.
Where: Blue's room.
Warnings: RAEPCloud and Blue and their philosophical talks that end on misunderstandings, or something... TBA
Tifa, Nero, Asuka, Wave, Haruka, Aerith... Zack... he had to stop himself from thinking about everybody else who had suddenly faded from life, but it was a hard task, specially if there wasn't much to be done in that place, it gave him too much free time to let his thoughts eat his brain, not that having something to do would make any difference, he had always been that way.
Aright, he got his mind into thinking about something else. It was getting cold as days passed, even if it didn't affect him as much as others, he was used to it, coming from a mountainous region. Winters on Nibelheim were harsh, nothing compared to the weather they had at the moment, he felt cold, of course, but he wasn't under the bedsheets trembling as he knew others would be... That only made him think of Blue... He couldn't forget the misunderstanding they'd have the last time they talked, through the journals and in person. He was worried about him, more than he wanted to accept, Blue telling him he was tired, and all he needed was rest, didn't reassure him one bit.
Call him paranoid, but the relation he did with the symptoms he had when he was sick of Geostigma, and what Blue keep telling him, made him feel even more uneasy. It was hard to forget how tired he felt all the time, and how he kept sleeping for irrational periods of time, just to be woken up by unbearable pains, he kept telling everybody he was just busy to avoid them, when in fact he was exhausted... Maybe Blue was just tired, but in Cloud's mind it just rang panic bells, no one could blame him, really, or maybe they could, the fact was that the more he though about it, the more he wanted to go and check on the man.
The hell with it... He got up from his bed, got dressed and left the room. Walked rapidly down the corridors to the elevator until he made his way to Blue's room... He stood there for some seconds or minutes before deciding to knock... Surely Blue was sleeping... if he was, then, he'd just enter and check if he was doing ok, then go back to his room and forget about the whole thing. If he was up, he'd give him a lame excuse and check on him anyway.
Having waited for a little moment after he had knocked, he obtained no response from inside. His hand on the knob, a little twist from his wrist and he was inside. Closing the door behind him, he walked making no sound at all, just like a wolf in the hunt. A very dim light surrounded the room, and mako eyes shone in the dark environment, looked around, to finally stop at the bed. Cloud approached silently next to it, and stared at the occupant, the dim bluish light only made Blue look paler than usual, he seemed to be sleeping peacefully, but now that he had made the whole trip, he would check if he was truly ok.
After staring at him as he decided to do it or not, he wondered why he never took off those headphones and hesitating still, he placed one ungloved hand over his forehead with extreme gentleness for someone like Cloud, as if he thought that touching Blue would shatter him into pieces.
His temperature seemed ok, and the blond let out a relieved sigh. Scolding himself from doing such absurd act, he started walking to the door to go back to his own room.
