Mello shrugged; he'd expected as much. "Too bad." He looked Schuldig over, too, trying to guess how much time had passed for him while he'd been gone. He knew perfectly well it wasn't necessarily the same in both places; more likely not to be than otherwise.
He found a chair and draped himself over it casually. "Enjoy your trip home, then?" His eyes never looked away from Schuldig, watching and measuring his reactions. Caution didn't come naturally to Mello, but he was capable of it, and right now he still wasn't sure how he felt about this. Not ready to jump him the second he saw him, not quite. That would be both awkward and suggest he'd missed him far too much. As for what he intended to do instead or how long he'd wait, who knew? He'd just have to wait and see.
