Habits Don't Die [ Closed ]
Who: Vash (stampeded) and Big Wolfwood (nickwolfwood)
What: Having a nightmare and finding out future friends grew really-really big over night.
When: 3 am, Tuesday morning.
Where: 50A.
Warnings: UUUH. It's a kid curse. What do you expect?
It wasn't his fault. It wasn't. But the moment Vash opened his eyes, finding himself - once more - away from Bridge and all alone, with the vague taste of fear in the back of his mind, the Plant knew he wasn't going to get any sleep. It wasn't his roomie's fault, he knew; the other kid didn't like touching people at all, and being asleep wouldn't change that. The clock blinked 2:57 from the nightstand, and unlike the day before, Vash just didn't feel like taking the time to wrap Bridge back up in covers before falling asleep. Besides, that would bother Bridge. Which wasn't nice.
So, with as much quiet he could muster - which wasn't much, really, given that he was used to either metal or ... nothing - Vash clambered out of the bed, wrapping his arms around himself a bit and stumbling out of the room on autopilot, bare-footed and feeling utterly small. Even the tiny, old, clanky elevator didn't cheer him up; he still trudged on down teh hall, half-way curious at what he was doing himself. Then Vash found out what door his feet stopped at - that future friend's one. Oh! Maybe Nick'd let him--
But then he remembered the time. Rem had always calmly gotten up for Knives and him when they'd been unable to fall asleep, but she hadn't always looked very happy about it, as much as she'd smile as they got their glasses of water. But Nick wasn't an adult, he was still a kid - a future kid, too - so maybe he wouldn't mind being woken up? Still, Vash hesitated at knocking, before giving two soft taps, fidgeting and a bit anxious. Who knew what was going to happen, after all?
