Who: Jenna and Emerson
What: Jenna's playing a song she'd written previously
When: Sunday morning after breakfast, Week 11
Where: Music room in the DeWitt Mansion
Warning: PG-13 maybe? TBD
Breakfast had been successful. Jenna hadn't really been worried about it. It was pancakes eggs, and bacon, after all, and what guy didn't enjoy those? Once she'd cleaned up, she'd gone back up to her room to shower and get dressed for the day. Wearing her hair down and wavy, she had on a pair of jean shorts and a Rolling Stones t-shirt that was overly baggy and hung off of one shoulder slightly. The only make-up she had on was a little eyeliner and lip gloss.
Today she planned on sneaking into the music room and dusting off her fingers. Ever since Emerson had admitted to having the music room and then showing it to her, she wanted nothing more than to go, pick up a guitar, and play. However, she decided discipline was in order. If she wasn't careful, she might spend either all of her time in there or in the library, and not get any of the cleaning done.
Moving into the room as quietly as possible, Jenna shut the door behind her and took the room in again. With a smile on her face, she moved towards a guitar and picked it up, testing the way it felt in her arms. She took a seat on one of the chairs and starting strumming the cords to a song she'd written awhile back. At first she only hummed, but the need to sing was undeniable.
Let it go, let it go
Can't hold it back anymore
Let it go, let it go
Turn my back and slam the door
The snow glows white on the mountain tonight,
Not a footprint to be seen.
A kingdom of isolation and it looks like I'm the queen.
The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside.
Couldn't keep it in, Heaven knows I tried.
Don't let them in, don't let them see,
Be the good girl you always had to be.
Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know.
Well, now they know.
Let it go, let it go
Can't hold it back anymore
Let it go, let it go
Turn my back and slam the door
And here I stand and here I'll stay
Let it go, let it go
The cold never bothered me anyway
Jenna was completely engrossed in her song, that her eyes were closed and she just sang. She didn't feel the same way about the song anymore, but she loved it. At a time in her life, she'd definitely felt it was all true.
