It's the end of the world as we know it, and everything's fine.

Both Buffy and Angel have had their apocalypses; Sunnydale is a huge smoking crater, and Los Angeles is ticking on like nothing ever happened. Except something did. Somehow, Buffy and Angel are the new owners of the deserted Wolfram and Hart building, there's gold name-plates on the top floor condos for both teams, Buffy's and Angel's, and nobody quite knows what's going on with the Senior Partners or if they're even still in play. All they do know is, someone has been notifying all the brand-new Slayers and telling them to come out to Los Angeles and hop in the sandbox.

On which side of the fence do you fall?

U  N  D  E  R    D  U  S  K  -  P A N F A N D O M

... In a town called Silent Hill ...

Towns with supernatural reputations can be dangerous places, but Silent Hill is the worst of them all.

On the surface of it, the town is merely a normal populated resort destination, and the lucky ones never get to find out otherwise. But sometimes, for others who travel here, just before they drift off to sleep they can hear whispers of long-gone people from their past. Occasionally, when fog settles in, they even claim to see demons lurking in the distance. There are things in Silent Hill.

People say that the town is haunted. It's rumoured to be temporally and spatially challenged, that physical laws break down in here. And if that's true, then anything here is possible. Advanced beings moving among the residents, invisibly guiding the course of human evolution, of history, dimensional doors, hosts, demons, ancient tomes of magic... and there are rumours of the town occasionally switching into a dark, ruined, decayed version of itself called "The Otherworld" which has the ability to reflect a person's psyche, to twist the environment into their own hell, full of illusions and violent demonic creatures.

They're right. Silent Hill was always home to a supernatural presence, having been a sacred place to a cult called "The Order", but the town's bloody history has perverted these energies into something far darker.

The evil here has been intensifying greatly, spreading outward to touch not only the real world, but worlds and dimensions and even times beyond it. The Order, through mysterious means, has been pulling in people from these outside worlds to feed the evil and build up the town's power. It's got people who can't let go of something in their lives pulled here, people with secrets they can't tell anyone, done things they can't face. And then there are others finding themselves here who don't know how or why, or what their presence here means for all of the worlds. Some people come to realise that by aligning themselves with the Order, they will be give a certain degree of protection. Then there are those who refuse to give into the darkness and try to fight it.

However they choose to survive, they'll soon discover that they were brought here as pawns in a far bigger cosmic battle, and will have a fight on their hands to get out of this one alive.

Under Dusk is a panfandom game set in the fictional town of Silent Hill (and its dark alternative version), providing a stimulating environment for characters to interact within, and plenty of opportunities to explore the deeper psyche of the characters through plots with themes of good vs. evil and all they grey areas inbetween.

It all started when the Joker took Gotham hostage.
It awakened something dark in our nature,
Worse than the mobs or the thugs,
And now evil spills out from the Pandora's Box he opened.

Batman: Rogues' Gallery is a Nolan-verse RPG centered around the origins of Batman's greatest nemeses and focusing on Gotham's descent into crime, anarchy and madness. The story begins with the Joker's incarceration at Arkham Asylum following an elaborate plot against Gotham City. While inspired by Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, the plot of this game deviates from the movie on a few key points (please see the premise and character list for more details).

Cheshire Crossing; Multifandom Asylum-Based IJ RPG. [17 Oct 2009|11:07am]

As children, we're expected not just to believe in fairy tales, but to embrace them. Boys can fly and live as children forever, girls can be rescued from their evil step-mothers and whisked away to castles in pumpkin coaches; the world is an endless stretch of possibility set against a backdrop of inherent freedom.

It is only a fiction. The world eventually reveals itself to be an unkind place, the villains not easily defeated, no fairy godmother to come to the rescue. The loss of innocence is taken in stride by some, and those fortunate masses go on to become grown-ups, to live out their lives in some boring profession or another, to forget magic after passing it along to their own children.

But what of those who grow older without growing up? What if Alice witnessed something so terrifying that she never wanted to leave Wonderland? What if Belle's beast was so cunning and so cruel that she could not bear to part from him, his murder of her father aside? For all of those who fell through the cracks, for the most unique and the least privileged, the untouchable and the uncared for, for the most heartbreaking and horrifying, there exists a refuge. The shelter? A deceptively quiet New England hospital; Cheshire Crossing.

Welcome to your new home. Set in crime-ridden Dark City Treno, dominated by alcohol, drugs and weapons, this place is constantly immersed in a perpetual state of darkness. Heavy black clouds loom overhead, sometimes bringing rain but never breaking to let in the sun. The city has evolved to match its environment; business is shady, outlooks are bleak, and it is unclear whether there is still light behind the clouds at all. Even the brightest linings offer little hope. In the corner flower shop, full of carnations and spools of cheap ribbon, black market narcotics and hallucinogens change hands. The local pub, complete with Guinness on tap, reserves the back three tables for weapons dealers to do business. Criminals of all types seem drawn to the city, attracted to the dark environment the city offers.

Despite this, there is a murmur of hope amid the murky despair. A rebellion is forming, individuals determined to fight against the masses and bring good and order back into the city. However, the weather has not broken. With the dreary forecast constantly imposing upon the innocent civilians, the fight is predicted to be endless and futile.

Will you fight against the overwhelming corruption threatening to take over this already desolate city or join among its ranks?

Located in a reality separate from any other reality is a city named Fallenpoint. Nobody knows how old this city is, or exactly how it came to be. It’s not a desolate city by any means. Over 1,000,000 people live in Fallenpoint; the economy is excellent; and the residence are happy for the most part. One day the city, as if having a will of it’s own, begins to pull people in. Sometimes the city may invite a person, but most of the time it simply drags the person from their world into this one.

When a character arrives, they find themselves in the central square. They find that they’re now carrying a bag of sorts. Inside of this bag is a netbook, the keys to their new home, and a credit card containing the equivalent of $10,000. Pretty soon characters find out that they’ve brought something along with them.

Their own realities.

The city of Fallenpoint has also pulled in several realities, and placed them within the pockets of it’s own reality. Characters soon discover that they can go back to their own realities, or to any other reality that is available. Those seeking to go home, however, will discover that their home world has changed dramatically. Certain events may not have happened, events may have been altered, people may be dramatically different, but one thing is for sure:

Once you leave home, you can never go back.

EVEN FURTHER AWAY
a next gen fairy tale experience

THE STORY | CHARACTERS | TAKEN PBS | RULES | FAQ | APPLY

Once upon a time, in a kingdom far far away---oh wait, you've heard this one before? That's no surprise. We all grew up with fairy tales. And these stories of dastardly witches and wizards, of beautiful princes and princesses and crafty fairy folk are just that---stories. But what if they're not? What if, in an actual kingdom that was further away than you could ever imagine to get to, there were people living out the tales you heard every night before bed? And what if their mothers and fathers told stories of far off lands much like our own world? They probably wouldn't believe that this place exists, just as we couldn't fathom that there's a world where Cinderella really met her Prince Charming, and true love's kiss could really wake a sleeping beauty from a deathlike sleep.

But that place does exist. In a world parallel to ours, in a place that no magic but what we cast in our dreams could get us to, the characters of these fairy tales are real; living and breathing but slowly fading away. Yes, that world is waning and all because the one thing that fuels it and keeps its residents alive is in short supply. That one thing is belief. And as our belief in the magical fades away, so will all that is magical.

But there is hope. There is a family who, through ancient magic, has always been able to travel to and communicate with the other world. No one has ever been able to explain why the two sons of Grimm were connected to the land of fairy tales and enchantment. But it has been this way since before Jacob and Wilhelm began recording the stories of things they knew and heard from far far away. In their descendants, Rolf and Edwin Grimm, who have inherited this magnificent ability, lays the only hope for the people of the fairy tale world.

Even Further Away is a social, thread based rp game set at a fictional Grimm Academy where the children of popular fairy tale characters have come to live because their world is dying. Descendants of the famous Brothers Grimm have found a way, through limited magic, to bring the next generation [ie Snow White's children etc] to our world in order to save them from theirs. Because the land of fairy tales is so different from our own, a boarding academy has been founded by the brothers so that these children can smoothly transition, and learn about the ways of our world in order to survive in it. The game will center around the students, their lives at the academy, and their interactions with each other all pushed along by some zany subplot.

Game opens October 21st.

On May 1st, 2009, nation leaders spoke together to reveal a truth to the world: the supernatural world is real. Vampires, werewolves, and more exist. They have been known to the government for a long time, and now they are coming out of the shadows - and they come with a message. They are not a threat. They mean no danger to humans. But there are other things out there that do.

The days that followed changed everything most people believed they knew about the world, about history, and most importantly, about themselves. Celebrities, politicians, the family down the street - they began revealing their true identities, and telling the world what they really were. Missing people that had been turned against their will came out of hiding, and orginizations popped up to reunite them with their families. The revealing of the supernatural was penned in the media as the Light of May, as society made room for the supernatural.

It wasn't easy. Many, human and supernatural alike, were terrified of what this would mean. Some wanted to keep the supernatural abominations down. Leading figures of both Democratic and Republican parties were revealed to be supernaturals themselves, and joined together to fight for civil rights for the supernatural. It is revealed that if the supernatural were wiped out, half of the entire world's population would be gone. Independent parties popped up through-out the country, opposing supernatural rights, and the fight goes on. But those aren't the only battles being fought.

Why did the Light of May happen? If the supernatural has always existed, why are they only making themselves known now? For centuries, those with supernatural blood have been hunted, held, and killed - all for the benefits of their blood to hunters, and vampires who don't want to play by the rules of etiquette. There was a time when the angels, and even the fae, fought to protect them. But the fae have been extinct for hundreds of years, and worse - the angels seem to have disappeared. There is nothing fighting the demons of the world at bay now. The human race is at risk, and they are not alone.
