Chaos Unraveled OOC Community

Here's hoping this isn't too off-topic, but my daughter and I went to Anime Expo in Los Angeles recently, and I saw the best Midvalley cosplayer I have ever seen. (And I have seen plenty.) I uploaded a pic here.

So I was thinking about this malfunction day and decided that since it involves significant rewriting of characters in most cases, it would be good to have a thread where everyone can post what road their character traveled instead of reality. This makes it easier for people to interact with the new versions of characters (since I would think in theory they've generally still been in the place together a while... correct me if I'm wrong).

So particularly anything that should be common knowledge should be posted here. If your character looks different in some way, make sure to mention that, too, since it's something that would be obvious. Other than that, feel free to go into as much or as little detail as you want. I just thought this would be a useful reference and I think it's fun to see what people did, too.

Hey Guys, just wanted to give a quick apology here about why I kinda disappeared the last few days.

When I came home from work Thursday night I ended being quite ill, and have since been sleeping a lot. I am better now and am going back to work today. I'm sorry if anyone wondered where I went to, but I will be catching up, getting to comments and threads tonight/tomorrow. I know I have plots going on, so please don't worry, I am going to be fine to do them. I hope I didn't hold anything up or cause concern everyone. <3

I haven't been getting response notifications in my email for about a week now, so I want to apologize in advance if I've been MIA in some conversations! If there's a convo one of my characters is having with yours and I don't respond in a timely fashion, please poke me. I certainly don't want to be rude! D:

Jiangling (aka Reno-mun) back again with another Niflheimer. Meet GLaDOS from Portal! Redesigned to be able to move around Niflheim (see icon!). There's a better description in her profile if you need it.

For the sake of effect imagine EVERYTHING she says coming through in a rather flat mechanical-sounding female voice. For those unfamiliar, have an amibiguous non-spoilery clip from the beginning of the game. The floating voice that tells the player to do stuff is GLaDOS. ;)

Non-ugly icon forthcoming once I get around to drawing a better version.

I was told Vader needs some more action in the realm, so I've thought about this:

I have this idea about Vader working with Zefiris to sort-of infiltrate Niflheim in one way or another. This could be tied to his mentioning of upgrading Asgard's security with blaster cannons and other nice and deadly stuff. I could even see him wanting Myre, as his 'apprentice', to help with this, though as a Sith he won't count on her help.


Also, about the Jazz somewhat being part of the traumatize Frank plot: When should it start, should Jazz be in the know about what Flauros and Carrion are trying to do etc.? My apologies, but I seem to have gotten out of the loop with this plot and am in need for some clarifications.


And third: Who should be the winner in the next trial? Vader or Flauros?

OKAY, so. Reno wants to come up with some amusing way to mess with assorted Asgardians. My brain is not currently cooperating on what that might be, but I think he will want to get other people in on it, a) because he likes doing stuff with other people, especially if it's fun mischievous plottingness, and b) because at this point having witnesses to the fact that he's doing something is a good thing.

So I have a couple of thoughts on that regard. There is something in the works involving Flauros, Reno, Yako, and Midvalley. Perhaps somewhere in this, Reno and the other misfits figure out something to do? Orrr, since he poked Emerald again, he and she talk evil plots over cocktails? XD Whatever works for people. If anybody else has any brilliant ideas, do let me know.

[EDIT] Right, totally forgot that Lucifer said he had something for Reno to do, so this post might be a moot point depending on what that is. We'll see, I guess?

Like having icons for your characters but hate uploading them one at a time? Wish there was an easier way? Well now there is!

Since new characters will be coming in tomorrow I thought that oocly introducing my newest pup would be a good thing.

Just to let those of Niflheim know that tomorrow afternoon Sal will make an exclamatory post. Directly following that, rooms 206 and 210 (aka, the two rooms on either side of Yako's and Schro's room) will be detonated due to explosives he will have secretly wired in them.

This is just Sal's way of going: I mean it when I say I have no problem blowing you or others up / hey, bitches, Sally's back! <3 And he will be more than glad to do it to other rooms adjacent to teammates' quarters if he sees fit. I'm hoping it's just this once, though. >.>

The idea email I sent around? Will be postponed. But it will happen at some point. <3

Come late May/early June there will be another character plot occurring.

I really hate to do this. Especially since I've been so active recently, with the Brandy plot and all. And I know I'm in a lot of threads, too.

But I have to leave the game. There are some personal issues in my life that I need to take care of, and, unfortunately, real life does come first. I'm so sorry. Please take Sal, Blythe, and Dorian off your friends lists.

Alright, thee's five more talismans to find and all Asgardians (even if you were shy and hadn't voted yet) can have a turn as long as the people who officially volunteered first get their chances.

More information about the talismans will be given soon, but baaasically...here's every poem and where the talismans can be found (though the characters are not receiving the location with them - and please wait until Sydonai gives the poems ICly herself to the others before reacting to these in-character.) Each talisman, with the exception of #2 and #6, should have two or more people on it.

To kinda help iron things out so that people know what's going on with this thread that came out of nowhere - Sal and Flauros are playing a kidnapping game. With Brandy beaten up and bleeding, she calls on the help of Morana and Eileen to save her. This is deliberate, because Flauros and Sal want to put the two women to the test.

It's really just to screw with their sense of justice, as Brandy refuses to be rescued and keeps trying to convince them that Flauros is really a good guy who needs love and attention. So it only lasts a day overall - the three women get home by nightfall. Just thought I'd give everyone a head's up about that. :)

I meant to do a post about this before I went on hiatus, but didn't get the chance. So now that I'm back, here it is!

I've noticed that, for quite a while now, Niflheim has had trouble doing anything.

As always, Sal is being Sal - and he's just as smug and arrogant as ever before. What he said about people from Asgard is his observation - however, he's still an asshole and still prone to saying asshole things. He's like hard-wired to say mean things about everyone, he's just that "angry with the world". So I know it does probably go without saying, because we've come to know him for nearly a year now, but I just didn't want it to come across as player antagonization. I love each and every one of you guys. ♥

Also, I'm kinda disabling comments for this, because I just felt like it had to be said, is all. ;_;

Well, we weren't expecting so much attention on the upcoming pregnancy, but Brandi's given me the go ahead to just let everyone in on a couple of things.

The pregnancy will be unplanned and unexpected by Kain and Blythe. The baby will be born in December (before New Years, thankyouverymuch xD). They will not know the gender of the baby until delivery, but it will be a boy (for Kain~) named Roland Aidah Highwind. The first name bears resemblance to Kain's father's name (Richard) and the second name is Blythe's father's name.

They'll move out the second bed in their room and make space for a cradle and...baby supplies. They will also hope to ask Alessa and Henry to be the godparents (if either respectfully declines, they will ask others).

I think that's as much as we know for sure at this point. Everything else will just have to happen as the time comes. Also, the Mod has stated that no one in Niflheim will have the ability to abduct or hurt the baby. He is immune to such plots.
