Here's the deal. Since everyone's schedules are a little screwy right now, trial 3 is going to drag on for a while to give everyone a chance to be involved. From the perspective of the characters, it will be a multi-day challenge. I'll be posting each day separately to give you a thread in which to face the challenge however your characters choose. Please talk amongst yourselves and decide more or less what will happen beforehand and then write it out as you have time. That way we can keep track of what's going on and not have to worry if someone isn't able to log much on that particular game day. There's at least one mod playing a member of each team, so we'll end up knowing what the plan is.

Tentatively, the schedule will look like this:

Dec. 9 -- First challenge.
Dec. 13 -- Day off. Characters on the teams will be stuck together, though.
Dec. 17 -- Second challenge.
Dec. 21 -- Third challenge.
And they will be done and back to their regularly scheduled lives as soon as they finish that third challenge, and will be free to spend Christmas however they want.

That said, here's some useful in-character information.

In the times when the characters on the teams aren't actively facing a challenge, they will be housed in a holding area in the course. Every time they finish a challenge, the last door will lead to this same space (well, except for the last one, because then they'll be done). Sure, it seems physically impossible, but the whole thing is an intricate series of illusions, anyway. So what I'm about to describe is where they'll spend the end of day 1, all of day 2, and the end of day 3.

It will be something approximating a furnished apartment, with just enough places for them all to sleep at night... by which I mean there will be a room with two twin beds, a room with a queen sized bed, and a sofa bed in the living room. Have fun arguing over who gets what. Beyond that, the apartment has a small kitchen with a microwave, stove, oven, and a healthy supply of cookware. Much like their normal team kitchens, the pantry and refrigerator contain a magically regenerating supply of food. For entertainment, the living room area contains a TV with a DVD player and a stack of movies, as well as a cabinet housing some board games and a deck of cards.

There is no way out of this apartment. The door will be locked until it's time for the next challenge. The members of your team will be stuck with each other as long as they're in there. They will, however, have full access to their journals and can communicate with other people that way. I would encourage them to do so--that way the characters who aren't on the teams can still be somewhat involved in what's going on in the trial.

I'll be writing up an intro for Day 1 of the trial and posting it up shortly. If you have any questions once you've read this post and the ones I'm about to post up, feel free to ask them here. Have fun, guys!

Fey--We need to chat about what the second challenge is going to look like, and if you could write up some stuff for Jophiel to say, that would be awesome.

[edit] Day 1 threads are up! Have fun!

Also, for those not reading the comments, here's a clarification that the apartments are separate. Each team gets their own.
