For the Record!
Lately, L has been taking an independent approach to investigating Niflheim. He has been speaking to Mello and Schroedinger, chiefly.
On the iPod touch at the moment, so I can't post links, but if anyone would like to know how L knows what he does....
1. The "bad kitty" aftermath: L runs into Schroedinger in the woods, shortly after the catboy's scuffle with Dorian. He's not too pleased about Schro hurting the sweet mummy, and Schro defends his actions to the skeptical detective. They talk and talk and talk and Schro drops the first hints that Banru is dangerous. L is more fixated on Sal, but the info is there.
2. Dorian and Banru: Check out Schro's latest journal entry for this one. The conversation between Schro and L gives L plenty of reason to worry about Dorian's relations with the Niflheimer.
3. Current L/Schro thread: In Emptiness, L is talking to Schro and warning him to watch out. Since Banru posted to Niflheim that he suspected a rat and Mello was not excluded in the privacy settings, he shared this information with L. L is now worried about Schro, since he knows that no one in the realm can be completely invulnerable to harm.
