Tai Chi calms the soul, right? (Kitty Pryde/OTA)
Who: Kitty Pryde and OTA.
Where: Side lawn of the Residence, just over there... no, the other side.
When: Let's narrow it down to a nice, autumn afternoon.
What: She's from the X-Men, so she's dealing with angst, because they're the best they are at what they do... ;)

Kitty Pryde was trying to accomplish several things at once. It shouldn't have been a problem, really. She was doing her Tai Chi on one of the side lawns in sweat pants and a T-shirt, hair in a ponytail, nothing to distract her. All she had to do was let the positions help her focus on her breathing, keep her thoughts clear -

And stop thinking about a guy made of magic who has disappeared...

She sighed. It wasn't working very well. She stopped, took a deep breath and let it out slowly before trying again.

	Lee's just heading out for a run, in the brisk autumn air when he spots Kitty doing some Tai chi, they meet up occasionally and go through stances together. She appears to be taking a breather he walks over. "Hey there Kitty, don't mind if I join you?" He asks. (Reply to this) (Thread)

Oh, she knows that voice: Lee, the nice guy. Lee, the cute guy. Lee, the taken guy. It wasn't that Kitty was looking for anything more then friendship with this man. It was more that he reminded her of several people she new back home, and that just made her sad.

"No, no," she said brightly, giving him a smile, then turning away, apparently to prepare herself for the starting position. "Please, do. Always cool to do some Tai Chi with you, Lee."

	Lee's brow furrowed, he knows that Kitty was having a tough time but last time he had tried talking about it to her, she'd fled. He gets into the starting postition mirroring Kitty's. Lee cares about Kitty and he worries that she keeps things to herself and he's learnt that pushing her doesn't work. He's resolved to be there for her when she's ready to talk. 	Lee follows Kitty's lead mirroring her moves and breathing through the movements like he's learnt. Tai Chi is a good a work out as a run, as he continues with the sequence, he's using his muscles to control the movements and it's nowhere near as easy as it looks. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	She actually made it through a sequence, though she didn't feel as relaxed as she should when it was done. Sped up, Tai Chi was a 'fighting dance', as she called it, and she missed those days when she had someone to fight. A designated target, the 'bad guy'. Kitty broke her final position and sighed. Well, that wasn't completely unexpected...

He'd tried to talk to her before, at the pool, and it was just... too much. Nice, cute guy, happy in this strange place with someone he's had a rough relationship with, taking some time to talk to a girl he didn't really know...

Kitty didn't want his pity. She knew he wasn't offering that, at least, but there was still a doubt, a feeling of 'why do you care?' that sat inside her like a lump of metal - and it wouldn't go away.

"You didn't screw up," she said quietly, looking at the ground. "And... talking would be fine, if I knew what to say... or where to start..."

Kitty looks at him for the first time and he can read in her eyes that she's suspecious about his intentions. Its hard for him to explain but he feels a kind of kinship between himself and her, he wants to look out for her.

"Okay," he says gently. "Well start with anything, what's the toppomost thought in your head?"

He smiles encouragingly at Kitty, "Want to go get a drink? Coffee or a smoothie or something?"

	Lee starts back toward the residence, commenting on her slap and the waitstaff. Kitty falls into step beside him, a small smile forming on her lips. Then she moves quickly and silently - and Lee is thrown onto his his back, rolled onto his front and his arms are pulled behind him. "Feel that?" she asks, a giggle sneaking free. 	Lee laughs at Kitty's protests and struggles, although he yelps when she smacks his ass. "Well you're laughing now its a good start." Lee smirks. 	She's sure he will be on the look out. Kitty has another sip of her smoothie and thinks about the staff and knows there's something about them that's oddly familiar. She feels stupid that she can't figure out what it is. At Lee's question, she sighs. "Just... trying to figure them out and... get over myself, you know?" (Reply to this) (Parent)
