TOM FELTON AS JULIAN ALBERT IN THE FLASH SEASON 3

1,507 CAPS, REMOVED FOR SPACE, ICONS BELOW

Please remember to credit [info]capseroo!

I really do think he was an excellent addition to the cast and it's nice to see him as someone other than Draco. Although he is not coming back in season 4. But damn you and your lighting, CW. Once upon a time The Flash was bright colors like Supergirl. Alas.

Spoilers in comments for The Flash season 3.

It was pretty ridiculous doing Flashpoint. It made zero sense at the end of last season, I just sat there with my mouth hanging open like are you guys really going there so quickly. Like that would've made more sense to me as a season five option, lol, a build up to it. And even then. Facepalm. YOU ALREADY EXPRESSED how messing with timelines is terrible.

One of the things that frustrates me is how they're pretty accurate on how to deal with Oliver, meaning that he is held responsible for his terrible actions and he holds himself accountable for it now too, but that Barry people make excuses for a lot or forgives very quickly. It's like the Flash can't decide if it wants to go as dark as Arrow or not, and then it tries to, and it doesn't fit.

Yes yes yes you have expressed exactly a bunch of my problems with Flash.

The answer is don't make Barry do that stuff, show!

It's always walked a careful line, trying to be optimistic while still having gravitas. They didn't want it to become Arrow. I feel like right now Arrow, Legends, and Supergirl all have very distinct styles and feels to them, and Flash is the one floundering on what it wants to be.

Yeah, I think you've nailed it, which is really strange considering that the thing that first made it so good was that it had a great tone and it was so different to Arrow. Supergirl now has the really bright tone in Flash's place, though. (Or did--I need to watch the back half of that season too but at least I want to!)

Supergirl still does! I mean they go through intense and sad things, but they still overall have that message of strength and hope and friendship. The happiest and lightest thing Flash did this season was the crossover musical with Supergirl, who reminded him of that bright and happy part.

There was this kind of sad episode of the Flash where they force Barry to lose his memories to try to throw off evil Barry, and he's like ... happy go lucky and fun and cheerful again. And it makes Iris and the others kind of remember who he used to be. So they're aware of it. They just continued to keep him morose.
