Who: Anyone who went to the Topless Vampire Review at the Stratosphere, anyone who wants to show up later. There can be as many threads as you want in this! I don't care. Everyone have fun! I demand it!
Where: Jillian's! http://www.jillians.com/
What: Eat, Drink, Play! All of the above!
When: Laaaate. After the vampire show.

The vampire show, "Bite" had been, to say the least, interesting. It was exactly what it had promised to be: a topless erotic Vampire story. Jess had enjoyed herself and it seemed at the very least that everyone else had gotten a kick out of it. Alcohol flowed freely, dinner was excellent and now that it was over they had all made their way to Jillian's for some after hours fun.

She had been keeping an eye on Sam most of the night, quite happily, and was enjoying their time together as well as their time out with a group. It was almost normal. Nevermind that she was surrounded by vampires, vampire slayers, demon hunters, and a PI. It was one of the better social events she'd been to. Everyone was in the same boat and that made everything epically awesome. At least in Jessica's view. It was nice to let their hair down once in a while.

The place they were smelled of pizza and beer, the ringing of various games and pool tables was quite loud. Loud music, loud drunk people, good times to be had all around!

The show had been... interesting, to say the least. Eric didn't know what he'd been expecting, but an actual vampire pretending to be human so that he could play the lead role hadn't been at the top of the list. He had been young, though, and not particularly refined, but it had amused him.

He'd been mostly quiet through dinner, choosing instead to observe the crowd around them, and an arcade wasn't exactly his natural environment, but the evening was about fun, and he'd allowed himself to be talked (okay, dragged) onto the DDR game. And made a fool of himself. He stumbled off, less than gracefully. "This is supposed to be fun?" Okay, it had been. A little. He could admit that.

Jo got Guitar Hero and Rock Band, she even got those fishing games and she sure as hell got Buck Shot but the one thing she had never understood in her life was DDR. It just looked like some spastic epileptic fit to her. But watching Eric get dragged into playing it was kind of entertaining and she gave him a grin as he stepped off. At least he had a decent sense of humor, for a vampire and all.

"Only if you're asian," she joked and nodded towards a pair of asian dudes were destroying at the game a couple machines over.

"Genetic predisposition to seizures set to music," he said slowly, sarcasm to match Jo's joking. "Did you knock the high score off of Buck Shot?" he had to ask -- he'd noticed her eyeing the game as if she'd been itching to beat it.

She laughed a bit at his comment and nodded. "Something like that," she agreed.

She held up her beer a little at his question. "Was just getting a drink first," she said and looked back at the machine. Her trip to the bar also killed the waiting as the fellow who'd been playing earlier seemed to have vacated. "You ever tried it?" she asked and looked back to Eric.

This was not a date. Sookie was not on a date with Eric Northman. They were just hanging out with some other people in a completely non-date way. Why was she even thinking like that? They were going out with a bunch of people to unwind, it was not a date.

And since it was not a date, Sookie was dressed very non-date like in a black dress. The show had been interesting enough, and she felt a little guilty about being there with Eric when she was supposed to be Bill's. No, damnit. Sookie belonged to no man. She rejoined Eric after grabbing a drink from the bar. This place was very different from Merlotte's.

She had to admit, it was looking like a date. He'd driven, they'd sat together at the show, and he kept finding excuses to invade her personal space. To put it mildly, Eric was on his best behavior. "I can't say that I have," he said to Jo, right before Sookie rejoined them.

And just like that, he'd turned his attention back to her. Jess had been right: he had it bad. "Are you having fun?"

While she might be completely retarded when it came to things that involved her, Jo was actually pretty good at reading other people and how they interacted. And it wasn't hard to see that there was something happening between Eric and Sookie, whatever that might be.

She gave Sookie a smile as the girl joined them and looked back to Eric. "We might just have to change that later," she offered.

Sookie was surprised how easy it was to be here with Eric. She didn't consider this to be a date by any means, even if they were sitting awfully close. She kind of wished Tara was here, but Tara would never agree to something like this.

And deep down, maybe she liked the idea of being here with Eric. What? It was his fault with all of the dreams and making her drink his blood. She didn't want to like him but...she couldn't really help it.

Oh who was she kidding? It was more than that, and they both knew it. She smiled back at Jo. Gosh she was pretty. Sookie didn't know why, but she was feeling a little self conscious with all the pretty girls here.

And wow this wasn't awkward at all. She gave a quick glance around and spotted Jess and Dean heading over to Sam which would be as good a reason as any. "I'm gonna go..." she said and sort of nodded towards where her friends were. "You guys should try to give the asians a run for their money," she suggested with a bit of a grin before she wandered away from them over to where Sam. Jess and Dean were sitting.

"Yeah, definitely later," Eric agreed to Jo's original comment about the game. She excused herself, and he gave a nod and a little wave -- he'd hunt her down later for some competition on the game. Or schooling. Whichever.

"Are you okay?" he asked Sookie once Jo had gone. The constant crowds of the evening had to be playing hell with her abilities, and he tipped his head toward the door. "Did you want some air?" He wouldn't mind stepping outside for a few minutes.

Why was Sookie even thinking about Bill after what she found out he did? She didn't know. She certainly didn't want anything more to do with Bill Compton, but did that mean she wanted to date Eric Northman? It would take some serious soul searching before she could figure that one out.

"Yeah." Sookie told him, she was trying hard to block out all of the thoughts of the people here. "I'm okay, but some air wouldn't be a bad idea." She said. It had been a very interesting night, to say the least.

"Come on." It was easy to cut through the crowds with him leading the way: nobody seemed to want to mess with anyone as tall as him. Which was a shame, really. In the time they'd been there, there had already been one drunken brawl to break out. It had looked fun.

The night air was cool, and it wasn't hard to find a quiet place once they were outside, a low brick wall on the edge of a garden. He sat on the edge, and motioned for her to join him.

Sookie nodded, letting Eric lead her outside. She knew she was safe with him, even if he weren't practically a giant. Eric wouldn't let anything happen to Sookie, and she had given in and read those stupid books. She married Eric, and while she couldn't think about exactly that right now, she was definitely considering dating him.

She sat down with him, trying not to feel too awkward about everything. It was the first time they'd really been alone since she was fifteen year old Sookie.

It was awkward when it shouldn't have been awkward. They'd spent time together before. Hell, he'd drank from her, and she'd sucked bullets from his chest. He'd seen her practically naked, and she'd slept in his bed for several days (granted, that had been more concern and wanting to keep an eye on her fifteen-year-old self than anything else, but it counted). It was awkward, and he was tired of it being awkward, but he had no idea how to change it.

"Thank you for coming with me tonight," he said finally, moving to slide an arm around her shoulders. She looked cold, to his eyes -- and, granted, the undead wasn't the best source of heat, but his shirt held some warmth from the building inside.

She didn't want things with him to be awkward, but she didn't know what to say. And she didn't want to be with Eric just because the book said she was supposed to be. Sookie wanted to make her own choices. She was her own woman, as she'd tried to tell that betrayer Bill Compton time and time again.

"Sure, Eric." Sookie said, sort of smiling at him. It was a little chilly outside, she had to admit. She liked it better though because she couldn't hear Eric's thoughts. That also made it very easy for her to be around. She knew she should say more, but she honestly didn't know what she should say. It was awkward, even if neither of them wanted it to be.

"Thanks for asking me." There, that was something, right? He had to know she felt something for him, since she had volunteered to help with Fangtasia and all.

"I couldn't think of anyone I'd have rather spent the evening with," he replied, and that was true. He enjoyed having her around, even if it played hell with his appetite, much less emotions he hadn't thought he'd had in centuries.

He trailed his fingers along her arm absently before speaking again. "I was going to ask at the house tonight, but we never made it there. I was wondering if... maybe you would want to live there. With me. There's plenty of room." She'd dated Bill, who was rather open about where he lived, but she'd also seen what happened to some vampires when they were open about it. The offer alone said a lot.

And Sookie couldn't either, even if she didn't come out and say it. She liked being here with Eric, even if this wasn't an official date. She was well aware of his attraction to her and she had a growing attraction to him as well.

Sookie was definitely not prepared for what Eric said next. He was asking her to move in with him? No. Live with him, that was different, right? The house did seem amazing, and living with Eric would be easier than living with Abby. She couldn't hear Eric's thoughts, and it was so hard to be out like this...with all the thoughts she heard.

"Sure, Eric. I'd really like that."

Move in, live with: it all boiled down to the same thing. Her reply made him smile, and the hold he had around her shoulders tightened briefly in a half hug. "You can have your pick of the bedrooms, of course. Kitchen's entirely yours. I think you'll like it."

If he cooked, he certainly would have liked it. As it were, if it was only him living there, it was an unfortunate waste of space.

This was a pretty big deal, moving in with someone she wasn't even dating, and Sookie did not take that lightly. But it was the best for Sookie, she'd actually get some rest and the house was huge anyway, it wasn't like they'd be sharing a bed. At least not...right away.

"Thank you, Eric." She told him. "I really appreciate it." She thought back on when she'd called him a monster and needed comfort from Bill, knowing what she knew now had changed so much. "So uh...how much of those books did you read?"

"Think nothing of it. It's my pleasure." She didn't know how happy her agreement made him -- and how much less worried. The sheer number of vampires (uncivilized vampires, at that) in the building made him nervous. Especially since at least one of them wasn't bound by daylight.

The question of the books made him frown. Those damn things. "Bits and pieces, and skimmed what was available online. Why?"

"Did you happen to see the part where we get married?" Sookie asked him. In no way was she thinking about marrying Eric, but if they did get together she wanted it to be because they wanted it, not because of the dumb books. Not that Sookie was about to let a book dictate her life anyway.

"I saw something about that, but I didn't really delve into the details. It was to protect you, wasn't it?" For the same reasons as her, he hadn't been too keen on reading every little thing. If it happened, he wanted it to happen because it was their choice, not because of some book. At least they were on the same page there.

"It was." Sookie said. But that didn't mean there were no feelings behind it, as she had sensed while reading the books. She didn't like that there was a series about her life out there, and all of the things that happened. "And what about the part where I'm part fairy?" None of those revelations had even happened for Sookie yet. She hadn't met Claudine, they'd barely gotten back from Dallas and through all that shit with Maryann before she was here.

"You're part fairy?" he asked, dubiously, brows raising as he pulled back a little to look at her. A moment of consideration, then he shook his head. "That might explain a lot of things. Your abilities, for one, so I'm not surprised."

"And why supernatural creatures are so drawn to me. Not so much the telepathy though." Sookie shrugged. "For one thing, Jason doesn't seem to have any of that." But fairies were very appealing to vampires, or so she had read.
