RP: Lily, Remus, Sirius (NPC!James)
Who: Lily, Remus, Sirius
Where: The Infirmary
When: 18 October, late morning
Summary: Catch up
Lily loved her husband. She really did. He was her entire world, and she didn't think she'd be able to live without him. But if she had to be in his company for another minute, with all the hovering and the concerned glances and the babying, she was going to scream. Or strangle him. Possibly both. At the same time. While everyone in the infirmary watched on.
Thankfully, Hermione Granger came through for her, with the memos that all Aurors and Hit Wizards were expected to be at work over the weekend. She knew that it was difficult for James to leave her, and she'd have felt the same if their positions were reversed, but there was important work that had to be done. Of course, he was still around most of the time and she didn't mind, except when he was overbearingly smothering her. She wasn't sure if it was because she'd almost died, or that the Healer had told her she was pregnant, or if it was both of those facts that had turned James into a mother hen. Probably both, and she could understand his behavior, but she didn't have to like it.
At the moment he was out doing something, having left earlier in the morning (after fluffying her already fluffy pillows twenty times and apologizing for having to leave. Luckily she hadn't had to tell him how relieved she was that he was going out for awhile, because it was work related and necessary. She was really glad not to have to sound like an ungrateful bitch, because she really did love and appreciate her husband, she was just grumpy at the moment.) Now she was resting, and enjoying the complete and utter silence around her bed.
It didn't take long to grow bored, and she'd already slept far more than she felt was necessary. She'd told James if he came back and she wasn't in bed to not freak out. She hadn't seen any of their friends yet, and James had told her that Remus and Sirius were fairly bad off. Sirius was at St. Mungo's, or had been, but Remus was here. She could go see if he was up for visitors.
"Hey," she said softly after she made her way across the infirmary to where Remus was situated. "Up for some company?"
