Magdalene

Magdalene [Sin & Salvation] ~ A bouquet of white roses, labdanum, and wild orchid.

In the bottle~ Very floral. Light and delicate, not cloying or oppressive, with the orchid being the predominant note on first sniff.

Wet~ Still floral, but the rose emerges as the orchid's notes tone down.

Dry~ A subtle scent, but the bouquet of the roses makes a lovely base for the orchid. The labdanum adds just the right woody notes and keeps the scent from being too floral and 'perfumey.'

Staying Power & Throw~ Good. The throw wasn't always that strong, but it could be based on the cool temperatures [body and ambient] when I tried it. As I warmed up, the throw seemed a bit stronger, but the staying power was very good. The scent lasted up to ten hours on my skin and lingered a bit longer on my blouse. Overall, it is an airy scent with a touch of earthiness to it. I'm going to try it again when the temperature rises above 11c and have a feeling that it will go on my summer wear list.
