Review: Love's Philosophy
Love's Philosophy from the Lupercalia 2008 Limited Edition
Lab says: (snip of a poem by Shelley) Vanilla, saffron, and cream.
In bottle and wet -- strong brown sugar
Initial dry down -- brown sugar with a little saffron. Not all that impressed yet.
5/10 minutes in -- Oh dear. There's a weird undernote I didn't like in Miskatonic U and it's got to be the cream. I say it smells like sour milk although Nancy says she can't smell it.
Half an hour later -- still all wrong. It's very sweet but the sour smell sharpened and literally smells like rubber. I needed a shower anyway and so I went ahead and washed it off.
So apparently Beth's cream note doesn't work on me. Sadness. :(
Anyone interested in the bottle?
I also got frimps of Masabakes and Hetairae--both of which are on my "to try" list, and the Sojo Beat 2008 calendar. Kawaii!
