So.

Basically I am seriously overwhelmed with the amount of stuff that has to be sorted out. This is no one's fault but my own AND I have to say that everyone volunteering is making my life 1000 times easier, so I have no complaints in that department.

However, I would like to know if it might be a good idea all around to pause BL for a few days (maybe till, say, Friday), so that things can get straightened, people can start school, you can go on a date, get started in other games, whatever. But I'm not going to do so without a sound majority. Please don't vote with multiple journals!

I think BL can handle the pause & I do see that there are potential benefits to sorting things out behind the scenes, but I'm curious how we're doing the game passing. Are we pausing the game and picking up date wise where we left off? OR is stuff happening behind the scenes?

If the former, then that gets confusing with times and dates.

If the latter, I guess I almost find that more confusing - because what is happening? I mean, what are people allowed to go forward with behind the scenes and what aren't they?

It feels as if any major movements until things are more settled wouldn't be wise, and most major game plots of that sort have historically taken several weeks to build. In reality things are bound to be confusing shortly following a take-over, and with a gag order on the media, they'd simply continue to be so.

IDK. I guess, and this is stupid - cause I was going to be either way is fine with me originally when I logged in and saw this, but then in the shower I realized what the dates were and Sev's b-day is Friday and I don't want to miss that IG, cause I've been stupidly looking forward to it for weeks even though I have absolutely nothing of significance planned for it. Which, that's a dumb straw to tip the scales, but that's kind of the straw that tipped it for me.

What about less than a week? Like a full pause say, Tues - Weds? or even Tues - Thurs? It would somewhat depend on what the mods and mods helpers schedules are like, I think, but it would give us time to not worry about game stuff and really focus in on getting the plot calendar up, the changes made to any of the stuff in the mod journal and so forth. And that only works if those days are free to do stuff, so IDK.

I suppose Zee's idea of having the log be backdated post-blackout, for social stuff, might work. Or if log placeholders could be put up during the week - IDK IDK.

I see the benefits of taking a bit of time to get things sorted, and if we need to, I'll deal perfectly fine. I don't have any major plans, really, so it's not that big a deal.

Oh, and either way, whatever is decided, I'm willing to help with the NWO, or other stuff if needed.

I'm not around earlier tonight, but possibly will be later. Tues. afternoon I'm definitely around and Tues. evening I'm at the ref desk, but it's early in the quarter so probably I could still work on NWO stuff. Weds. is my normal work schedule and probably will be around in the evening - so let me know when is good for you and I'll try to be available at that point in time.
