So.

Basically I am seriously overwhelmed with the amount of stuff that has to be sorted out. This is no one's fault but my own AND I have to say that everyone volunteering is making my life 1000 times easier, so I have no complaints in that department.

However, I would like to know if it might be a good idea all around to pause BL for a few days (maybe till, say, Friday), so that things can get straightened, people can start school, you can go on a date, get started in other games, whatever. But I'm not going to do so without a sound majority. Please don't vote with multiple journals!

I haven't actually voted yet, because I'm selfish and had plans for Lucius this week, but I know that a pause is the best thing for the whole game. Like, I can see the logistics of things getting screwy IC if we're behind OOC and I don't think that continuing small plots and halting big ones would work - characters aren't going to act on their underlying social thoughts when their main thought process is going to be regarding their current precarious situation. So therefore, it's got to be all or nothing.

Ok, ok. I'm going to vote that I don't object, because small social plots can always be rescheduled for next week since they're not life or death important. I suppose it would be nice to have a week of logging in gdocs to fill in placeholders? And possibly if two characters who aren't really affected want to chat and have the log be backdated post-blackout, as long as the players understand that the can't do anything that affects any other characters, that might be ok.

I definitely think that we can pull it off -- breaks can mean the kiss of death for games but there's so much to be done here with what's just happened that I think everyone will jump straight back in after. I think as long as we all keep communicating so we're on the same page when the break ends, it should work.
