One good thing about living as muggles was the addition of television to Sirius' daily life. He'd heard about the device in Muggle Studies and he'd seen them once or twice, but he'd never had much interest in getting one himself until now, when he needed one to fit in. In addition, his hours as a mechanic were sporadic and didn't usually match up with Regulus' hours at the bookshop, which meant that he was home by himself fairly often. Since going out when not absolutely necessary was dangerous, Sirius needed to find a way to occupy himself in the small flat, and television was an excellent such way.
The ridiculously unfunny French comedy that Sirius had been watching finished at nine. Nine was when Regulus said he would be home, and he wasn't. Usually, Regulus tended to be early, and he was rarely late. For the first minute or two, Sirius wasn't bothered, letting the news wash over him without making the active effort to listen and understand, but then he stood and paced a bit. As good of a mood as he was in from his earlier chat with Remus, Sirius couldn't help being worried to the point of paranoia. Everyone was out to get him and Regulus, after all. He had just made up his mind to get his coat and go looking for Regulus when the door to the flat opened.
