When: Feb. 14, 1929, Evening

Notes: This post will be done party post style. See this post for more details!

All was quiet on the North Side on St. Valentine's Day. A party was set up in a hotel ballroom on the North Side of town, red paper hearts attached to the walls and a banner declaring "Happy St. Valentine's Day!" hung from the buffet table by hotel workers. People exchanged cards in the street and put their cards in the mail, gathering at friends' houses for parties and meeting lovers everywhere from board rooms to back alleys. This was a day for lovers, not for bloodshed.

Well. At least for now.

He looked as though he couldn't decide whether he should be horrified or amused by the thought of making it into the history books. "Maybe. I'm not sure if we've actually done enough to make it into the history books, though. If anything we'd probably just be more nameless people part of a police raid."

Cole just laughed, glancing towards the stage once before they reached the drinks table. For a Valentine's Day party, it wasn't so bad. He raised his flute of wine to hers, grinning. "I'll drink to that," he teased, before taking a sip.
