Isobel,

Your posts on the public forum concerning Bellum Letale's newly formed trial system were worrisome. Hooting and hollering will not obtain the results you want. Your expression of emotion only stacked the odds against your favor.

I would suggest that if you wish to work productively in your [...] companion's favor, you busy yourself with the details of the event. The library contains a number of books concerning law, I'm sure they could aid you in finding a reference point with which to argue his innocence.

- Dr. Archer

If you're telling me to bug off, I'd rather you just say it. No one else seems to have any problems telling me how stupid I am so why should you?

Perhaps this is because you're acting like a child.

I'm telling you that if you want to do something about this situation, you should do so properly. You are clearly impassioned by this individual's pseudo arrest. If you would like to contribute to his aid, you may do so in ways that do not draw attention to yourself or discredit you as a resource.

These [...] people are emotional. They are hurt and afraid and scattering to cover themselves in any way they can. Therein lies the weakness of this entire puppet show. Contributing to that weakness will not help you.

Listen. I spent a good chunk of that night being told how stupid I was defending him, how it was all his fault, and that I was blaming rape victims all because I didn't know everything that was going on! I find out that someone I kinda consider to be a friend here has been "arrested" over things I haven't even heard of?? How am I supposed to act? Nod, smile, and move on?

I'm just... not doing anything about it anymore. No one's gonna listen to me at this point, and it's probably best that they don't because I clearly don't have a clue about people or about what's going on, so why bother trying? If they want to string him up or burn him or whatever it is they want to do...

We have no way of knowing if it was his fault or not because the evidence present is pathetic. This is a game of stories, which he will ultimately lose because crying women evoke an instant sympathy in the human condition.

If you no longer wish to pursue this, then that's your choice. I was simply offering you a few ways to aid him if that is what you wanted to do. This entire thing is a waste of time highly emotional. The only way for it to conclude properly is for those involved to begin acting logically as opposed to impulsively.

Probably best if I just leave to everyone who's... involved, as you put it. I mucked things up by saying anything. It's a great feeling.

Given the extent of 802's posted message, the entire building is involved. These people are mad.

I'm sure you didn't damage the cause too greatly. After all, they will ignore you outright now that you have stood against them. So your cause is ultimately in no more peril than it was previously.

So being ignored is a good thing. Awesome.

I think I'm going to go have a date with a bottle of wine.

Comparatively, yes.

Why? Don't do that. Self-destruction will get you nowhere. He This madness isn't worth it.

I don't know. You're irrational.

Because you're my friend we have exchanged saliva I appreciate your company you are the kind of person that would leave the world a worse place should you remove yourself from it.

That's because worth is not measured in the snapshot of a moment. If that were the case, there would be no meaning to anything. Nothing great would be accomplished. The means are irrelevant when compared to the ends achieved. The fact that your means at the moment are unpleasant does not equate to a worthless end.

I'm not really the sort to just sit around and hope for things to get better though.

Perhaps not, but it sure tastes a hell of a lot better than misery and moping put together do.

Why are misery and moping the only other alternative?

Because I'm in a foul mood, alone in my apartment, and I don't particularly want to see anyone right now.

Oh. In that case, if you must drown your mood in wine, I request that you be capable of walking the perimeter of your living room before you go to sleep.

Then you must remain awake. If you experience a "blackout" as opposed to true sleep, you run the significant risk of vomiting while unconscious.

If you're unconscious, you cannot get up to vomit into the toilet.

I am not asking you to be a good girl, I'm requesting that you maintain your common sense so that you are not injured by what you're about to do.
