I can't imagine that's everyone. It seems to me like it was a few people reacting badly to a situation that was understandably sensitive to them. I think most would have the sense or the distance to think that you were confused and not inclined to believe strangers over a man you were friendly with. That's what I saw in the situation, at least, and I definitely don't think it can only be me who thinks something like that or similar.

That's what I'm gonna keep hoping, but still doesn't help the fact that I pissed a whole lotta people off last night. Guess I've learned to keep my lips shut when I have an opinion.

It's none of my business, but personally I wouldn't waste too much time feeling bad because of strangers who call me names or insult me for wanting to get the facts straight.

It's honestly no problem. I sincerely hope your week gets better, and if you need a friendly face, I'm in 806.
