[Private to Dr. Strange]
I've been seeing words around like 'karma' 'divine punishment' 'just desserts' and the like. So I looked them up.

Are those real? Is any part of 'cosmic retribution' real?

If so can it be attributed to the wrong version of someone existing in multiple universes? If so how do I fix it?

Hello. I might be misunderstanding what your getting at, but I'll try to answer as best as I can, upfront. We can go on from there.

Where karmic retribution is concerned? It works and doesn't work, in a sense. Often not in the ways we think. I think, more or less, it's a case of bringing about your own undoing or the lessons we need come full circle on a sort of karmic wheel, again and again, until they are addressed.

Case in point, I was arrogant for the majority of my life. I lost the use of my hands, what I relied on for doing my job. I thought my life was over. But losing my hands was the cost I had to pay for my path to move in another direction that I would have never thought of, if I hadn't. Call it karma or divine punishment if you want to. Bad things or decisions sometimes happen for absolutely no reason, and it doesn't necessarily mean we're bad people because it happens. Other times, we get what's coming to us. Sooner or later.

There are no wrong versions throughout the multiverse. Everyone is the result of what they've lived through, and it varies throughout. There is no way to "fix it."

Now I have a question. Why are you asking these things?

Because Loki surely has been released upon me as punishment for something. And I've repented, mostly, for all the wrong I've done. Mostly.

It has nothing to do with you. Loki is his own punishment and he knows it, even if he's not sharing that knowledge with the rest of us.

The remainder is a fringe "benefit" of knowing him.

Yeah well he seems less fazed about it than I am.

Some individuals have a harder time learning than others. Or accepting it.

Thor believes Loki can be better than he was. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt, until proven otherwise.

He can, he'll just remain annoying out of spite while he is better.
