It doesn't. And there's really no way to prepare for it, other than realizing things can change suddenly.

There's been attempts using science to explain what's going on. I've cast every spell I could come across that wouldn't risk a collapse. It's circumvented everything, and seems to have a will of its own.

We don't know the mechanics of this universe at all, or why these things happen the way they do.

	I suppose that's part of preparation. Understanding that it's possible can be a way to prepare? There's the question: Do we continue trying to explain it, knowing that science and magic have both failed? I suppose it's in human nature to want to explain the unexplainable. 	The answer is that we don't have any answers and trying to explain it without any leads won't help. We may have answers someday soon.
