These were weapons that were based off of Chitauri tech, but were redesigned by humans to be weapons. Maybe a few heat up? But trust me. If they were pointed at someone's head, it would probably blow their faces off their skulls along with their hair. Not a good look.

Since some of the tech it was based off of might be familiar to you, is there any way of counteracting a blast from one of these things? Like a way to disrupt them that you know of?

It is a possibile that some of these weapons were assembled by idiots who didn't mind blowing their own heads off when they activated them.

I will try to work with what I can access on Terra. I would prefer not to travel the markets I might have utilized when I was actively associated with Thanos.

As far as some are concerned, I still am associated with Thanos. It could be... difficult.
