Now that I have had a little time to try to read everything I can - I wanted to say hello to those who haven't run into me yet. Apparently I was here, then gone, then I got here all in a very short time span. I don't claim to understand it but I am not the Steve you knew last month, but I am here.

I'm sorry, I know this is a lot to put on you when you've only just arrived. I've been half considering this for awhile but it wasn't something anyone wanted to think about. But after what happened with the storm, I don't know if he'll be able to keep his head if anything happens to me. My lifespan is not going to match his. I could get sick again or have an accident, anything.

If that happens, I need someone who could survive getting close to him and calm him down. Loki, if he's ever released, and Sif and Valkyrie love him and they'll do everything they can for him but they're Asgardian and they don't understand human lifespans. I know you're a hundred but you're human and you understand what that means. He'll need that. Need someone to help calm him down and stop him from flooding the world in his grief, maybe sit shiva with him later.

Again, I'm sorry to put this on you so suddenly but the only reason Thor stopped the storm in New York was because I was there. I don't know what he'll do if I'm ever not.

Don't apologize, Jane, thinking about the hard things is part of being human. I'm honored you are comfortable enough to reach out to me with this.

Of course I'll be there for him should anything ever happen to you - you have my word. I understand how short our time really is in comparison. Perhaps having a friend who both understands the human lifespan and who lives outside it, a little, will be good for him if anything happens.

It isn't a burden if I can help ease your mind on it. Thor is lucky to have you. I promise I will do everything I can as his friend if the need arises - I hope this helps put you at ease, too.
