Text to Loki
There is another plane of existence on this realm. I have learned greatly through research with Darcy about the various polter-ghosts that haunt.

I am at a loss why this terrifies Midgardians so. Should they not feel comforted by this? Knowing their ancestors are watching their every move, moving furniture so that they feel reassured?

This realm continues to confuse me.

Polter-ghosts that haunt and moving furnishings about? Afraid I've not experienced anything of the sort.

I think it more comforting that our ancestors go to Valhalla or into your dear sister's care in Hel. We know precisely where everyone is, rather than left as some wretched wandering shade set on redecorating.

Are you in need of aid? Not that it would help sending any warriors. Stabbing at ghosts seems rather counterproductive.

I'm greatly amused by it. This one enjoys scratching walls. It is very soothing, and helps one sleep.

Our sister's. Can she not be a shared responsibility? I do not wish to have her.

Not I. I am very well, thank you. My pants are beginning to fit again without a bagel top around my hips. I have had much time to work out. How are you?

Oh, you mean like that battle on a far-flung planet near Muspelheim, where the war-band continued drumming and shrieking throughout the night before the attack? You said it was soothing and that you slept like a newborn babe.

I contemplating stabbing you awake but that seemed too much effort for so little reward.

Oh ho ho NO. Your sister. You've more claim than I, therefore, I insist that she is all yours.

I've technically not met her in the earlier timeline that I diverged from.

Tired. [deleted before sending]

I'm fine.

Exactly like that. I yearn for that sleep again. The ever present threat of you stabbing no longer phases me. I apologize.

I wish not. I understand the expression here, regarding ignorance being very soothing -- I would be happier not knowing of her existence.

Are you? How are things with your wife?

I could set you alight with foxfire but I've heard you've taken the full brunt of a star and survived. It's not satisfying unless the way I offer affection causes you to suffer somehow.

Far be it for me to point this out, but you do realize she still exists? You can't very well kill someone whose powers are aligned with death. Even if you diminish said power with Asgard's destruction. It's in my predecessor's journals.

We've both been rather busy with tasks, so our paths have crossed only rarely.

Brunnhilde's seeing to stocking provisions for the winter months. The dungeon is finished. Sif is heading the training and seeing to security. I'm gradually gathering what's needed for the Bifrost.

Do you need aid with this redecorating ghost?

It was one of the most painful experiences of my life. I did it twice. Once here. Once there .

I said that I am happier not knowing of her existence. I did not say that I wish for her not to exist.

I feel similar. Jane is busy with work, and I bother her too much. I should maybe do a trip to Norway soon. See how things are going. Not that I do not trust you all. I trust you all. You are amazing.

No. I also trust the ghost's aesthetic.

Was there no other way?

Hm. Perhaps I can let her know as much, so that there is less ill will now that the family squabble over a throne is over. There's no harm in a bit of diplomacy, is there?

A visit would be pleasant. But, please. You do not trust me fully. Admit it.

Does this not vex Jane at all? This moving about of her things? I know that if things are moved in my study, then I was incredibly irritable.

No. Eitri lost his arms. Well. He gained metal ones instead. It's complicated.

You speak with her?

I do trust you. I'm simply bored.

No? From what I understand, her items are not being moved. Jane wouldn't realize anything in her lab unless it was ... well, her work. I have watched her coat move around the lab, and she didn't say a word.

Apparently. Metal arms don't sound very useful when one is a Dwarven.

I could speak with her, regardless of what form she's in. Physical or otherwise. Although if otherwise, it would take quite a bit of Dark Magic to do so. I am, naturally, quite curious.

I'm rather bored too, honestly.

Ah. If she's overly focused then you are right. That makes sense.

If Stark is amiable to the prospect, I would enjoy seeing these things moving about for myself. Would you inquire if I might visit? I would ask, but the last memories I have (fractured though they are) are of my throwing him out a window.

No. Rather top-heavy now.

Interesting. I do not want to speak with her. I cannot make that point clearer.

And a visit? Here? That sounds marvelous! Yes, I will speak with Stark immediately and then let you know as soon as I have an answer but do not wait for my response to visit. Please visit. Come.

That's unfortunate. They were so talented. Stingy and secretive, but talented.

You need not. I'll simply convey well wishes without you having to do so. I doubt she wants to speak to you either? That would make annual festivals rather awkward.

Thank you, brother. I do appreciate it. I shall gather a few things and make ready.

I shall leave a note for Brunnhilde to find and let Sif know to mind the village, ere I depart.

I know. I want a new hammer. Not that Stormbreaker isn't valuable. Or Mjolnir. Sometimes, you just want something new though.

Oh! Speaking of festivals, Yule is fast approaching. We should plan an event. With fire.

Perfect. I can come and pick you up whenever you wish.

I suppose one can never have enough weapons to bludgeon others to death or cause heads to roll. You really should try a subtle approach sometime.

Ah, yes. Yuletime. A three day feast and bonfire with song, perhaps. What better way to ward off any ill will, and hearken to a new year of prosperity.

I've not much to take with me, so I am ready. I take it that Stark agreed and will give me my own chambers to sleep in?

Yes, Stark agreed. We can plan Yuletime while you are here. We should go all out this year.

Perhaps do a ceremony to honour all we've accomplished.

Fantastic. I am ready to depart.

Let us discuss the details, since it may take some planning and coordination. You should take part in planning, even if it is by what as known as remote work.

Will be there shortly then.

We can discuss while you are here, brother.
